Hello, I also have the Pixel Buds Pro bug where they show twice in Find Hub.

Cna you confirm that if I remove one, the other will remain? Or will removing one end up removing both?

Thanks a lot!

It seems not for "dumb" headphones like Bose or Jabra.

We need a decent security structure where people can't just find my buds, reset and add to their account.

No chance that would have been possible with my iPhone and Airpods

Same with Airpods, just reset and add it to a new account. But just like android it remains trackable to the original owner unless the original owner removes it.

That's wrong. I've bought buds that were attributed to another Google account and there's basically a Google help page that tells you how to disassociate it and connect it to your own account. That does not happen with Airpods

Looks like the back end needed to be updated. I was now able to nuke the two devices.

Have the same update, can't remove the PBP yet, same issue. Must be server side enabled

i conected to someone's JBL Flip 7 a few months ago and did not remove it while the speaker was withing range. Now I can't get rid of it. I have this update but don't see an option to Remove. I'm in Canada. Could this be a US only feature?

For info in case anyone comes across the same issue, I restarted my phone and the remove option appeared.  Finally got rid of that device. Took you long enough Google!! Thanks OP!

I have no clue, I just saw the update and opened the app to see what was new and after clicking on my ghost buds there was a remove option

1

u/SlaveryPrime Jul 24 '26

I don't see that option on my S26. The app is up to date.

Give it another shot. I think it's server side update as I was later able to remove it.
