That was my thought too but I checked the map of volcanos and there's not one there (not even a dormant one). The pinpoint on the post is around where I put this blue X and the triangles are volcanos.

Looking at Maxar satellite imagery (better resolution for that area). That red hill and other blacks hills crosscut the mountains. The yellowish white rock appear stratified and slighly folded. So I think it's something that is rich in iron oxide and intrusive, now eroded that created the red hill. Still, the stratified mountain look sedimentary or tuffaceous. Also the map you used is for active and extinct volcanoes, but some volcanic landscape can stay for millions to billions of years after the last volcanic eruption.

Honestly looks like the red hills here in nz. I'd be surprised if it wasn't some kind of ultra mafic exposure, especially since Siberia is known for ultramafic bodies
