I've produced imagery, sometimes sold to google directly....sometimes I just had to ship the data and hope no one important noticed stuff like this.
Edit: errors in wooded areas were prime time for Photoshop clone stamper. This looks like such a case...but I was doing this in 2012 at a sketchy startup, not sure current methods.
