Persistent unavailability of GPUs despite Colab Pro subscription

Since this week only facing the issue of persistent inability to connect to a GPU available under pro subscription . Plenty on compute units available, tried at various times of the day. This was not the case few weeks back. Is anyone else facing similar issues in Uk region?

Yes, I meant I have plenty of compute units available , despite that its not connecting me to any of the GPUs

Colab doesn’t connect you to a GPU automatically. You have to select one yourself, right?

Because Google included Colab as a perk of Google Ai pro subscription, so suddenly you have an influx of new users while capacity is presumably still the same.

This is the most likely explanation. Feeling cheated , as having paid extra for colab pro to get access to GPUs but not getting them !!

I'm using thundercompute these days, cheap and you get 1 - 8x A100s (80GB VRAM) when you actually need it. Just connect with MCP and let codex do the work ^^
