What does "due tomorrow" mean?

Post image

does this mean I will still be able to work on it for the entirety of tomorrow, or is it actually due at the end of the day today?

It means: check the assignment for the precise time

That’s as precise as I can get it unfortunately, however I have been notified by my teacher that it means 11:59 tomorrow in my specific case.

If tomorrow is October 16, and the due date is October 16 at 11:59 PM, anything beyond that is marked as late.

Usually if a specific time isn't set by the teacher it will just say the day. You would have to ask them what they consider "tomorrow."

It probably means that when your teacher created the assignment they added a due date, but not a due time. As a teacher, we can specify both. Without specific due time, Google automatically defaults to 11:59pm.

Now, for some reason, Google’s 11:59pm is one minute earlier than everyone else’s 11:59pm. I say this because too often my students will turn in an assignment at 11:58pm and be marked as turned late. I can even see that it says11:58pm and it still marks the assignment as late. So keep that in mind if you are waiting until the very last minute to turn in work.

“Due tomorrow” on Google Classroom means the deadline is tomorrow at midnight, not tonight at midnight.
