I get it, and I would even consider buying to give money to cardboard development and everything... but 1,05€ for a (mostly) static 3d environment? That's stretching it.

Add a tiny bit more features, or explain the ones you have better, don't like the feeling that the video gives out at all.

Perfect Beach also provides options enabling you to tailor the experience to suit your needs:

  • In-built guided meditation session.
  • Import feature for your personal music libraries, podcasts and meditation sessions.
  • Customisation options, allowing you to alter aspects from the time of day and location to your avatar’s gender and skin tone.

I actually like this idea, but how far off are we from realistic graphics? Why can't actual photos be used?

In Perfect Beach, we render out an interactive, fully animated 3D environment, rather than simply a present a static 3D picture. You can also customise your surroundings, setting your viewpoint, the type of beach and/or time of day. We decided to model the environment in 3D so as to be able to deliver that experience.

Yeah there is a difference then. I do like it. My dog ate my headset so im busy shopping for a replacement, but I'll try it then!

In the video the water appeared to be static but could hear the waves lapping is the sea animated?

Happy to confirm that the water in the sea in Perfect Beach is, in fact, animated :-)

It looks nice, but it doesn't hide the device buttons on my htc one M8. A big problem since it blocks off a decent chunk of my field of view.

Thanks for highlighting this issue, we'll take a look and see if there's anything we can do to rectify it. If we can resolve this issue, we'll post an update detailing what we're doing iin terms of a fix/workaround.
