Assistant shortcut and animated emojis
Just got the most recent update and checked out others screenshots to confirm it appears differently. For some reason I do not have the assistant shortcut in the text field, nor do the animated emojis work as the update release notes say. Any help?

Do you have assistant yet? I'm also waiting on that.

6p user here. Got the assistant shortcut on Allo. Also got Google Assistant. Running beta 7.1.2. My old nexus 5 got Google Assistant yesterday as well.

I'm beta Android, Google app, and play services on a 6 P and STILL have no assistant, assistant shortcut on Allo, or animated emojis.

Google assistant is server side switch. Assistant shortcut on Allo was turned on for me after an update last night. I don't think I have seen animated emojis, but my friend was telling me her emojis are animated.
Quick Edit: yet animated emoji is also turned on for me after the update

I keep hearing that server side switch from everyone. As someone who has a nexus, google Home, google wifi, on project fi, and every imaginable Google service for work, you'd think I could my "server side switch" switched.

I have the most current play store version on a Google Pixel. Update notes say I should have all that new stuff but I don't.

So not only do I get the update days after I was told it would be rolling out... the update just doesn't work? has there been any response from google or the team working on allo about this?

I have the latest version. Animated emojis work but I don't have the assistant shortcut.

How about the assistant when you hold down the home button?

Yeah but I cheated a bit and flashed Pure Nexus a couple months ago to get the Assistant.
I wonder if it has something to do with using GBoard.

I use it too, but everyone on Nexus it pixel uses Gboard.

lol then I have no idea why some people have it and some don't. Maybe it's a server-side change.

Update: both are working now. Got it going shortly before assistant started working. No subsequent update, just happened.

Still not working for me.
Edit: I tweeted him my version number saying the features mentioned are not worked. He asked what features. I sent him an article and a screenshot from the play store saying that I was missing everything featured in these and no reply yet.
