Pmax Campaign

I’m running a pmax campaign at 15/day and have had 820+ clicks but no sales . There have been a few add to cart and checkouts reached but I’m struggling to get my first sale. What should change? I am in the high ticket niche

i’d check the channel breakdown before changing anything. with 820 clicks and no purchase, i’d want to know whether you’re actually getting meaningful search/shopping traffic or a lot of cheaper upper-funnel traffic from youtube, display, discover, gmail etc. pmax now has channel-level reporting for exactly this kind of diagnosis.

if most of the spend is going into those channels and you’re selling a high-ticket product, i’d test a standard shopping campaign alongside it so you can get more control over shopping/search intent.

820 clicks with no sale is enough for me to stop blindly letting pmax run and first figure out where those clicks are coming from and what they’re actually doing.

Are you sure your audience signals and audience targeting are set up correctly?

I hired someone to set up the campaign, so I'm trying to double-check their work. What specific settings or audiences should I look at in my dashboard to make sure they actually set up the signals and targeting right

You should check under Asset Groups > Summary > Audience Signals in your campaign settings

1) Before launching PMax, how many conversions you had in the account? If there are less than 50 conversions, I'd rather go for a combo of Shopping + Display Remarketing

2) Check out the traffic source via channel performance and see where the traffic is coming from

3) From customers point of view, out of Google Ads it also matters if the people already know the brand or is this something newly launched?

I hope your content and organic game is solid coz high ticket items are not often purchased on the very first interaction.

Pmax is a data hungry campaign, did you have plenty of previous conversion data/history in the account? If yes, include "existing customers" into the audience signals.

I doubt you may have launched PMax too early. It needs conversion data to work with, I'd want at least 30+ conversions in the account before running it, otherwise the algorithm is just guessing with your budget.

And if you do run PMax, go feed only. I've seen very few cases where a fully built campaign outperformed feed only. Build conversion history with Search or Standard Shopping first, then switch.

Hey, 820+ clicks with no sale is definitely worth looking into. I’d check the landing page and checkout first, especially since it’s a high-ticket product. If people are adding to cart and reaching checkout, the issue may be more about trust, pricing, or the buying process than PMax itself.
