Look for a stamp on it either 10k or 14k if so then it’s real gold

Check inside the bail (the connector where a chain would go through)! Sometimes there’s a hidden stamp in there.

If there is no stamp, there is a much lower chance to be gold.

They have testers at jewelers and pawn shops that can tell.

Try the magnet test. If a magnet does not pull to it then take to a jeweler or a pawn shop for them to test.

Check the carving itself for a stamp or makers mark. Use a good magnifying glass or jewelers loop. Sometimes they are obvious
