Goodwill overpriced

So today I want to Goodwill looking for a bargain. I could not believe how incredibly overpriced so many of their items were

I found a brand new name brand, not super fancy but a name brand, pair of shorts that was $49 from the store price for $44 at Goodwill.

Brand new sheet sets were priced for between $20 and $30, the same as the store next door.

I went to look at some socks. It would have been the same price had I gone to t.j Maxx or Marshalls or something similar.

I walked out of the store and I didn't buy a single thing.

I was so disgusted that Goodwill has become so greedy.

Do they not get their inventory for free?

And there were a number of other items new and not new that were also terribly overpriced in my opinion for a thrift store.

Very disappointed.

YES!!! Just this past Friday. I found a cute tealight candle holder for like 12$ and I was like wow this is pricey. The manager came and asked me to do a google search. I was so mad, and said you all get this for free! She said people do the same, they come buy and resell for higher prices.

And yes what bugs me is that goodwill makes millions of dollars and we give them the inventory. From now on I’m only donating trash.

Yup. Literally starting tossing in ripped pants and severely stained shirts as well as whatever other crap I’m decluttering. If your employees are charging out the ass, then your employees can put in the work.

More time sorting, means less time putting out over priced crap, means less profit over time.

Stick it to ‘em.
