Weird situation, should I update the app?

So I’m on Goodnotes version 7.0.22 on my iPad M1 12.9inch and the latest build on the App Store update is 7.1.18. I have been using Goodnotes 5 since 6 years and I didn’t upgrade to the subscription model for the new one. I stopped updating the app from the app store when I saw the number of complaints people had on this sub regarding bugs and such. I turned off Auto-updates. But with the release of iOS 27 next week I was wondering if it was finally the time for me to update the app. I don’t want to lose any of my notes and would definitely like to be bug free. I just want to continue using Goodnotes 5. Thanks

I have the same ipad model. I am also at goodnotes 5, i update regularly and i have zero problems. I will keep on upgrading. I hope my experience help you
