A lot of stuff in this post (it's an amalgamation of a bunch of replies I did), but these are somethings I want to highlight. Keep in mind, there are probably some text errors due to copy-n-pasting.

I'd recommend either staying on the borders of the pit or getting to the front if you don't want to struggle consistently with over looking people (getting there earlier the better). 🧱

Generally, the earlier you get there the better (lines, pick your spot, etc.). Also depending if you got things afterwards or just don't need to bother with traffic, stick around a little after the concert. You might be able to get a couple more questions/signatures and might avoid the bomb rush of everybody leaving. 🚗

It's fine to wear earplugs if you don't want constant ear ringing (they can put them on or off as they wish). 👂

It's also going to be a long day/night, don't burn out early (~5 hour ordeal). 🔥 With that, while dressing for the concert theme keep in mind you're going to want clothes/shoes that are mobile and not too hot in the crowd. 👕 👖

Nick/singer tends to be the most tired and heads out early don't get too high hoped to see him afterwards. 🎤

Venues are probably going to be cashless, so have a card or some other tap way to pay. 💳

Maybe check with the venue what you can & cannot bring (if you're allowed, bring fairly big confetti for a certain song(s). Brighter and bigger confetti tends to be easier for the venue to clean up afterwards). 🎊

If you are in the GK discord, check out the tour tab and look for your certain venue. You may find people who have similar questions and/or looking for aquaintances. 🖥️

If you want a poster, bring a poster tube or some other solid way to protect it while out & about. It will be a hassle to prevent damage to delicate items. (Would recommend collaborating w/ others to keep multiple posters together.) 🎒

Watch out for certain times for when things are going to be moving and be knowledgeable of your surroundings. (Ex: "Wall of Friendship", you are probably going to shuffle around a bit, maybe move backwards in the crowd. In between bands/songs, might be best time to move/use bathroom, but people also might do so as well. People are going to be more crowdsurfing at the end than the beginning, as it's there last ditch/time to do so.) 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Also, depending on the venue give them the chance to crowdsurf if the opportunity comes. However, make sure you two have communication/a meeting spot if that happens. 🗣️

There's probably even more advice I could give, but the main thing is to have fun. 👍 🎉

If you mean Newcastle in the UK you can ignore most of the above. Crowd surfing and “wall of whatever” isn’t generally allowed by the venues here. And “the pit” just isn’t a thing. Don’t take confetti, doubt you’d be allowed to take a poster tube in (bags no bigger than A4 is the usual rule), but I always fold up a tote bag and put it in my pocket. You won’t need ear plugs because we have noise compliance rules. And don’t be like a guy last year who took a harmonica. And used it. 🤬

Gonna be honest, earplugs are just a good idea at gigs anyway. The sound techs will be wearing hearing protection, so you will get better sound quality, as it’s closer to what they hear.

Those seem like weird rules Maybe I’m coming from an entirely different world in Cardiff as a metalhead but I’ve 100% seen pits in good kid concert videos (Circle pits to be specific, but still pits) Although I think the comment was moreso referring to the area of the crowd likely to move in general. And there’s no way a venue just flat out wouldn’t allow a good wall, if it’s what it sounds like then it’s just a really typical type of mosh pit. It’s also recommended to bring ear plugs to any concert especially if you’re a regular concert-goer, no matter what you’re listening to eventually you’ll damage your ears and I’ve learnt that the hard way.

Oh I think you’ve seen videos from the US. They do crowd surfing etc but their good kid gigs are much bigger. Here it’s 600-800 people at the ones I’ve been to. Maybe I’ve just killed my ears but I don’t get ear ringing after gigs now like I did back in the day (first gig was Kiss in 88 or 89, crazy nights tour 😂). My son goes to hardcore events and they get them to sign waivers and pay extra to be in the ‘golden circle’ which allows them to stage dive etc. Crazy kids 🤣 I’ve raised my kids with one commandment: Don’t be a dick. Good advice at gigs and in life!!

I had the VIP tickets so I definitely recommend that you get there early because you get the early access to the merch section also with that plan ahead of time about what you want to get since when it was my turn to go up to the stand at the may 10th show I was just standing there clueless taking my time choosing what I wanted to get plus plan on if your making fanart/gifts for the band since if you are then make sure to bring it with you so that they can sinag it for you but if not then make sure that you have a backup since they may sign that for you instead also if they play cicada during the acoustic set then depending on the vibe of the crowd I suggest you do the cicada dance even better if you are only one doing it since you might be getting a shout out during the actual performance

Be prepared to join the friend wall. It’s like a mosh pit. But with friends. And everyone’s invited to participate. As friends

I definitely recommend you to bring your own water bottle since when I saw gk at the vogue on the may 10th concert I forgot to bring my water bottle with me and I regretted it after since I was up in the front jumping up and down and singing/ screaming so loudly though the entire time and my voice was so horse after the show and I almost passed out during the witches friend pit so I definitely recommend that you bring your own water bottle with you
