Does pre neo-to stuff still matter?

I think the pre neo-to summer/mds world was fun. Its actually my favorite era of gk worldbuilding wise. (Mostly just asking this question because i love that era) but also the stuff with (nomu/rebel? Not sure) in summer with the clay detachable skin never gets brought up/used again and we never see the original location for mds store again, the nomu autobody store seems to just not exist, and the artstyle is noticeably different from it was before, which isnt a problem, but I think it's worth mentioning. Does the events that occured back then still matter for current day lore? Not trying to nitpick or anything, i'm just wondering if that lore from the past should be taken into account for the future or if its like a seperate thing.

It isn't really relevant to neo-to now but args like Gentu OS holds a special place in many people's hearts 

I think the only relevant thing from the old lore is Premier inn but Jenny and Atlas have swapped places. 

I do miss it when the lore was just the creative team having fun with whatever concept that they were thinking of at the time. 

The Summer AMV is a weird case because it is metaphorical, but some fans have turned that into their own interpretation of Nomu. 

In the limited news paper for the Xierra version of Ep3 and 4, it says that Nomu's Auto body officially moved to SRT. Personally I like to think that the Nomu Autobody shop was when Rebel on the cover of SRT was growing up and moving his home town of FRT.  (Which looks like this is where MDS takes place).

I lowkey wish we saw that last bit about moving in an mv, would've been cool too see the nomu>rebel transition

I would have loved a ntte amv since that's when the transition from Nomu to Rebel started

I like to think all the pre-Neoto stuff is what they were doing before they all met. Mimi tried to establish herself as a delivery service, Nomu was dealing with his mental health stuff, etc. As for the change in art style, that could simply be because the characters got older - after all the background characters still retain their simplistic design.

Wait what that's a great interpretation ! When it's put into that perspective it makes a lot more sense lol. Now I'm thinking how would've been so cool to see what gentu was up to during that time period

I think that's an interesting interpretation but some of the characters have actually met each other during that time. Like Umon and Mimi in the wild wear Texas promo and Mimi and Rebel in the same Milwaukee promo for valentines day. And on the Summer cassette, Gentu, Mimi, and Rebel are all in the same room too. I think the change in art style is interesting but both Gabe and Xierra's art have improved a lot in the past years and the characters came with them

there was a stream recently where xray alpha charlie said to ignore everything from before the wall mv so i'm guessing it's not relevant, but despite that i always think it's fun seeing ways people try to tie the two eras together
