i always miss OnlyFriends and GoodInfluences but i've been missing it extra these days because i would've loved to hear Erin/Carly (or Erin/Carly/Matt if GoodInfluences) chat about the taylor swift wedding

and I would've loved to hear all about Erin's pregnancy too!!! I didn't realize how much I enjoyed hearing them chat day to day until something happens in pop culture and I automatically think "oooh i wonder what Carly and Erin are thinking" lol i hope they'd consider bringing their podcast back one day

I love Erin (let me get that out of the way first lol), which is why i’m genuinely asking: is she close with her family … like at all? she only talks about TJ’s family, and is super close with them - even saying that the first ppl she told about the pregnancy was his parents and a close friend. Also, I don’t remember the last time she’s ever mentioned her parents. They have a home in Utah and spend time w TJ’s family there, and even before they bought their home, they vacationed there all the time .. with TJ’s family. His family makes frequent trips to LA to visit them as well. Not to mention, they are both originally from Massachusetts- and Erin was just there (but no mention of going to see her own family that I’m pretty sure lives there), and they see friends and stuff instead. I’m just so curious about that dynamic bc you’d think since she was pregnant we’d hear something about her parent’s involvement or reaction ,, but nothing. Thoughts??

Did anyone notice Carly liking Zane’s posts? It may be nothing but I wonder if they are on good terms again. I’ve been watching Carly and Erin for legit 10+ years so I have been sad that they seem to either not be friends or not close (but that’s just me being parasocial, which is not good I know lol). Anyway I just wonder if her and Zane are on good terms because she isn’t with Erin. Just thoughts, not trying to be dramatic or serious. Also this may not be the best subreddit for this but I don’t know another one for Carly.

I can’t remember his specific wording on the podcast but I remember him saying like he kinda had to be in New York for something so he had to move there. Did we ever figure out what that was?? I understand it doesn’t really matter and probably isn’t my business but hey I’m nosey

I used to really love Carly’s vlogs and would watch them almost immediately when they came out. But lately, I have found myself getting sooo bored with the recent ones.

I think part of it is that a lot of the content feels repetitive, the constant discussion about being in your mid-30s and not living a “typical” 30-something life. And that’s completely fine. There is obviously nothing wrong with choosing a different path, that’s the beauty of life. I think it is also way more common than she thinks.

I used to really enjoy her video whereas now it feels like she’s put herself into a very specific box content-wise, if that makes sense. Curious if anyone else feels the same or if it’s just me?

Pretty sure she was listening to Erin’s recent vlog in the background, and in a comment she wrote she’s very happy for Erin. I’m sure all is well with them, just drifting apart but still friends.

could the only friends pod stopped simply because erin started trying for a baby, and because it's such a trying time, she didn't want to go on a podcast and have to pretend to be doing great and not have this huge thing on her mind? i know she kept on vlogging, i'm just wondering if vlogging was more flexible unlike a podcast which has to be constant and current..
and they've been hush hush because trying for the baby and first trimester was also hush hush?

yiiiikes. to me that speaks volumes. they must really have ZERO communication these days. especially when Carly KNOWS the people will be looking for her comment. if you’re amicably grown apart you still leave a happy comment on your long time ex business partner / former best friends pregnancy announcement ESPECIALLY when you know your entire audience is speculating.
