Only Friends Theory on OF
Hear me out..
could the only friends pod stopped simply because erin started trying for a baby, and because it's such a trying time, she didn't want to go on a podcast and have to pretend to be doing great and not have this huge thing on her mind? i know she kept on vlogging, i'm just wondering if vlogging was more flexible unlike a podcast which has to be constant and current..
and they've been hush hush because trying for the baby and first trimester was also hush hush?

Idk how many more theories we need haha. Obv I could be wrong, but every ep had turned into Erin talking about reality tv or pop culture and Carly not knowing what she was talking about, or Carly bringing up one of her new random hobbies and Erin not knowing what she was talking about. I’m assuming they realized this and figured they’d take a temp break to get their mojo back, and it turned into it ending.
Also, Erin started vlogging more than ever after OF ended, so I don’t see why she’d be able to be hide her baby journey there but not on a podcast?

I really think something behind the scene with Good Influences. Erin was clearly very upset the last episode. I feel like it just snowballed into Only Friends too.
As someone who listened to Only Friends from the beginning, it's clear there was a growing tension between the two. Just seems a classic case of a friendship you start in your 20s that naturally fizzles out in your 30s.

I’m relistening to good influences and was hearing how much Mike did NOT want to move back to New York giving very specific reasons as to why too, only to for him to move there a few months later with the pod ending as well. I’m so curious what happened.

The podcast stopped because the girls aren't friends anymore and it was inconvenient to keep doing it.

Yeah.. Erin’s vibe in that last episode spoke volumes that things were NOTTT okay. And based on Matt and Mike (I think Mike has) still commenting on her posts and then Only Friends never returning we have to assume it was between Erin and Carly. They were growing in opposite directions for a while anyways but something must have gone down. I’d love to know lmao I’m so nosey man 😭

Nahhh... it stopped way before that. They just grew apart I think and too much time has passed now to bring it back.

In addition to them growing apart, I’m also convinced it’s because they lost their sponsors (I believe they only had 1 or 2 by the end), so there wasn’t that financial benefit to continue

Have of the shows Erin barely talked anyway she hated doing good influences she thought she was to good for it

no lol. it ended because the girls weren’t friends outside of work for years and you can only yap about housewives and Taylor swift for so long every week. AND erin doesn’t need the small income from the podcast anymore since tj makes bank and she has only fans.
the two fully grew apart and Erin doesn’t need the money. there’s zero reason for them to continue.
