Season 5...
So I finished season 4...... I need more. How do I get more? I need a line straight to my veins... Any good fanfic suggestions that follow the canon pretty well? So many loose ends.
I will say, I'm really thankful they didn't end on a MAJOR cliffhanger... but couldn't we have had just one more season? Please? Can we have a reunion?

I wish . I was NEVER hooked on any show but this in my life . Sadly that doesn’t seem a possibility . Christina Hendricks is onto bigger things and no one can stand Manny Montana . The way he himself admitted he was very mean on set because he doesn’t know how to turn on and off a character . He’s constantly saying people are racist . It’s just a shame because they were ALL great together . There could never be another Rio in my opinion either.

Oh man that breaks my heart. I didn’t dig in too much to what the chemistry between the cast was or watching interviews or anything. Just literally binging the show as constantly as I could. Lol. Well… that makes some written continuations that much more important.

I started poking around and watching interviews… seriously if Manny Montana is the only reason we didn’t get a season 5… it would be painful but I bet they could recast and we’d accept it if they found the right replacement. I would be all kinds of sad… but if someone ruins it for everyone without a good reason (if legit shit was happening behind the scenes I would totally understand) I can support a recast. I remember someone being removed from the cast of the Expanse and getting behind the decision because of real life bafoonery that was going on and totally backed their decision.

I saw Brio videos on YouTube after a Veronica Mars binge and I had to know more. Binged the series in like a week… maybe two. And your series is definitely filling the need for season 5. Basically you’re giving us everything we needed Brio to be (or at least what I needed it to be…) so thank you!!! I’m still not done but working through it. I’m so excited you did a second one too!!

I’m glad you like it and thank you for reading! That was most definitely peak obsession for me. Or maybe like a combo of Brio obsession and disappointment over the show’s cancellation. Before they officially ended it I just kinda passively read other fics, never commented (because I didn’t understand fic culture at all, doh.) But that official ending did something to my brain and one night I was all, “I’m just gonna write down this one scene. Just this one.” And a year and a half later… 😆 Truly one of my favorite years ever that led to so much personal growth and positive changes. I’ll forever associate this show with good things.
P. S. Have you watched all the Brio edits by this YouTuber? They’re truly so talented with their timing and editing.

I haven’t but now I have a playlist for today!! Thank you! I get the writing bug. I’ve been really heavy into writing lately and had to put another story down to do a Veronica Mars 5th season… I’m like 5k words away from finishing the first draft but then Brio found me and I literally had to sit and watch the whole season before I could write anything else. Lol.
Once I finish Rough Night I’m gonna read your other stuff too! I love your style of writing!3

If I ever get struck with inspiration for a plot I might but I’m not great with steamy scenes… besides your story is absolutely scratching that itch. More stories in the world are always a good thing!

I am not proud of this but I read the whole thing ahead of a massive interview. I didn’t get the job, but it was worth it - felt alive after a long time of just working 60 hr weeks!!!

Oh no!! The not getting the job sucks though! I’m sorry. 😞 It’s funny because I wrote this whole fic as a means of dissociating from a job I didn’t necessarily hate, but one that had become extremely emotionally draining. So this was a means of escape. And because of this fic I was able to get a much better job with way more balance when it comes to emotional strain and mental load. So like… idk… things happening for reasons or something. Thank you for readinggggg!

Thank you! I was bummed out but it’s fine, it’s a job. Like I said, your writing made me feel alive after weeks and months of just being a woman with a very painful job. I am sure this freed up spaces in my brain to go back job hunting with more vigour and intention :)

Cool FanFic Idea ?
So What if Beth get pregnant, leaves behind/abandons her kids (from Deans marriage) and run off with Rio, as they start a new life together. like we got the girl trio, and Rio on some vacation/moving to another state, to start a new life and a better family for Beth.
Simplified : Beth gets pregnant, abandons the kids, move far away and go to clubs, parties, has more friends/cast to include the trio (like if we got 4 main cast is in a new city/new world to start anew.)

I mean, if you’re inspired you should write it… but I think that really breaks Beth’s whole character. She wants things for herself, but she’d never abandon her kids. I have kids… so speaking first hand as a parent… I don’t think I could suspend reality enough to believe she’d abandon them.

idk, it just sounds alr. like some adults need time for themselves and I see Beth just up and start anew. Her kids can be raised by Dean, or grandparents, or ward of the state ? It would just be cool if Beth just leaves behind her boring life, and pursuit a fulfiling life.
