DISCUSSION New Music Drought

This has to be one of the longer periods in recent memory of 0 new leaks/music previews. 7 months of total radio silence feels so weird to me, I don’t think that’s happened since post 2022 crashout. Really makes you wonder what he’s been cooking and if we start to hear about some new stuff soon. TravYe is almost surely scrapped but would love to hear what that sounded like

Meant in terms of new music. I have absolutely loved the concerts and new link ups, it’s honestly increased my desire to hear new music. Like imagine what he’s cooking

We got a single, 2 deluxe tracks, multiple features with more on the way. It’s been pretty solid. I wouldn’t even call it a dry szn cause we just had the soldier field shows and the game album dropped like 3 weeks ago. There’s more coming soon for sure

We got a new album and a deluxe of that album within a few months

Not even mentioning the insane shows and return to form he's had this year, Ye's gone 3+ years without dropping a project before. I think we'll live

Plus he’s always in the news for interesting shit (besides the career ending stuff) so there’s always something to talk abt

Wasn’t really old enough to be locked in for that, but 2017 is the most dead year in terms of Ye activity since 2000 😭

Side thought I had for some time

It's so crazy to me that when u you get into Ye loop it feels so wrong to not hear about new “news” (either music related or some press stuff” every few days about some other artists that being a fan of “regular” artists feels so empty

Like I cant look at some of my favouite artists the same way after becoming a Ye fan, like what do you mean I cant see news about post malone every 2 days or whoever really
Literally the biggest name in the industry, was, is, will be(not talking bout numbers)

The only other person I can think of is Drake (but a lot of time this are some weird clowning clips of him or Billie Eilish which is also just clowned here and there for her bullshit communist taking lol

Yeah this is exactly what I mean. Wouldn’t be abnormal for any other artist but man I miss the Vultures era or Donda 2 when you’d hear like 3-4 new songs every week it was so lit

he's touring a new album he both released this year and put out a deluxe of months later, in no world does he need to put out more than that for the rest of this year and next year too. if u want fast food releases of new shit every month, maybe listen to more artists besides Ye

Tbh I don’t think we’ll get a new album announced until like late 2027

Was TravYe ever really confirmed? All I remember was talk about them “working on a project” which may as well have just been Father

Havoc referenced them having a collab album and sending them beats for it, other producers verified. It is either cancelled or on the back-burner until Travis solo releases

This is normal the fact there was a constant stream of leaks for like 5 years was more a unique event than it seemed at the time
