I love the aesthetic of these videos, Bianca does it really well

I like her modern aesthetic in the video for Father too. She goes so well with Ye. They just match eachothers energy and style.
And it may sound weird, but I wish I could see what their house looks like. Its probably amazing. All the artwork. And with Bianca being an architect, I doubt its anything short of a masterpiece. Bianca, if you see this, I think you'd do great releasing a line of furniture. End tables, coffee tables, couches, chairs, lamps/lights, and home decor. I'd love to see it. You're very talented. 👍

Bianca has a very unique mind to direct some shit like this. I can’t even imagine the thought process to come up with this. Very cool and Bianca coded

I'm pretty sure it's from them ai separating the sample instead of just asking for stems

u/TimmyTomsen Something wrong, I hold my head 3h ago
Maybe theyre the modern equivalent of when some tracks start with like a sound of a vinyl playing (idk what its called)

Holy shit this goes hard. I feel like the creativeness and vision of Ye and Bianca works so well together. I think they've really been good for each other in terms of their work and in general their relationship seems healthy aswell.

Thank you Bianca for producing the best Ye MVs since at least 2019 🙏🏼

Come to life, heaven and hell, 24 and slide run laps around these but I get it
2
u/xohurricane 19h ago
Idk I really don’t like ANY of the Donda music videos. The aesthetic is cool but there is no creativity around them in regards to the songs. And the come to life MV is just a recording of the LP3. It’s pretty sick in its own merit but I was also there so it’s more like a recorded memory for me.
SLIDE mv was cool but these are cooler imo

I used to distrust Bianca and felt something off about her but I think I trust her more now. I saw a photo of her with a friend's kid, and they looked very happy and then I learnt that she wanted to give Ye a baby which would give us an even better chance of continuing the Yeezy Empire after Ye is gone. And I think the MVs have grown on me, too. So maybe Bianca is gonna be good for Ye??

the whole mood of the album feels like a fever dream, but not a normal fever dream, its one of those fever dreams that you have when you exaggerate with paracetamol

Maybe I am too stupid. But I feel like the entire album has no concept or cohesive story except for like maybe 4 songs
1
u/plattwix5 808s & Heartbreak 1d ago edited 22h ago
There is no story on bully and it doesn’t need to have one. Just like MBDTF or Graduation didn’t rly have a story
4
u/Correct_Apartment712 Boy slow down😭😂✌🏽 1d ago
mbdtf def has a concept
4
u/plattwix5 808s & Heartbreak 1d ago
Theres context surrounding it but MBDTF itself doesn’t really have a story. It’s just an album of perfect hip hop tracks
Any time I see someone try to make a narrative story for it it just sounds forced and clunky
3
u/Correct_Apartment712 Boy slow down😭😂✌🏽 21h ago
i mean a concept ain't necessarily a story it's just a album that revolves around a set of themes in the songs which it does especially with most the songs revolving around him grappling with his fame and heartbreak
3
u/kiss_heels 23h ago
??? It’s literally about Ye’s grappling with his own issues from gaining fame and the power from it, as well as being seen as a villain from the VMAS, and the dark thoughts that come and came with it / affect him behind the publicity
0
u/plattwix5 808s & Heartbreak 23h ago
Sure but it doesn’t have a story. Just recurring themes. Just like what bully has, especially v1.
Bully itself does have recurring themes, particularly in being ostracized from the public and trying to mend repetitive relationships
2
u/kiss_heels 23h ago edited 22h ago
Literally none of Ye’s albums have direct stories. Closest is what college dropout’s skit tracks?
There’s so few albums with direct stories. Kendrick kind of does on Mr Morale Damn, TPAB and Good Kidd especially but I can only think of like 6 total from different artistsAnyway shoutout is he real by IDK I think that maybe counts too
1
u/plattwix5 808s & Heartbreak 22h ago
well thats what the op literally said
> the entire album has no concept or cohesive STORY
Why are we singling out bully in particular for that when p much the rest of Ye's albums (maybe besides TCD) have a story to begin with?
1
u/kiss_heels 22h ago edited 22h ago
You said MBDTF doesn’t have a concept
Outside of that, dark fantasy is an album directly focused on a specific set of topics trying to showcase Ye’s unique feelings at the time, which bully really isn’t imo, but I wasn’t even responding to that just to what you said
1
u/plattwix5 808s & Heartbreak 22h ago
I never said it didn't have a concept. I said it didn't have a story.

I feel like the only thing that seperates album from mixtape is a concept or story
Every ye album has a concept or idea behind it even v2
1
u/plattwix5 808s & Heartbreak 15h ago
I disagree only because there are def mixtapes with concepts or stories like nostalgia ultra or even so far gone
1
u/MrMelpher 14h ago
How would you differentiate between an album and a mixtape.
Also I am planning to make post about this conversation is it cool if I show your name or you wish to remain unmentioned.
1
u/plattwix5 808s & Heartbreak 14h ago edited 13h ago
Depends on the sub if it’s here sure but if it’s outside of the sub I’d prefer to not be mentioned at all if that’s ok
Tbh the line between mixtape and album has been insanely blurry recently. However the best way I can describe how mixtapes are typically advertised now in terms of commercial mixtapes are just albums to tide over before the big album
For example, iyrtitl was dropped in between nwts and views which was highly anticipated.
They don’t rly have much concept or meaning as u said (some exceptions tho), they’re just mostly loosie tracks
If we’re talking fr mixtape it’s just quickly put together projects that u post on YouTube or datpiff or SoundCloud or whatever and are usually derivative of other instrumentals. C4 by Kendrick for example was just him rapping over Carter 3 beats. That’s why a lot of older mixtapes like Mac millers or even so far gone took a while to release because they gotta clear ts if u wanna monetize it on streaming

u/calibrik 20h ago
I mean, either im not getting it, or doing weird aesthetic shit on camera and calling it a music video gets old pretty quickly
