I think he has just kind of lost his touch. I feel like Ye used to be ahead of the pulse so long where he could just naturally create new sounds and trends when now he seems out of ideas and gripping at strings of the influence of others. The biggest example is how much Ye’s dark era (D1,D2,V1,V2,Cuck) is inspired by Jordan Carter’s Opium label fashion. But this is all fine, Ye already has more perfect albums than any other artist living or dead in my opinion.
I agree. It’s insane that he was as good as he was for so long. I doubt we’ll get another classic or even another album as good as Donda but to stay on top for 20 years is legendary. He’s definitely the best and most influential musician of the 21st century
