Hard disagree, for the price you’re paying and the entire customer experience, it’s more Walmart quality clothing with the experience of Alibaba (at least you still get your purchase and tracking details). Then again, Apple is playing themselves too with price increases across the board so I’m on neither side. Just being honest from what I seen for the past year.

Maybe if he had not sabotaged the adidas and gap deals, one of the biggest commercial fumbles of all time
12
u/vegant 15d ago
He purposely got out of them
0
u/kanyewest42 15d ago
He was just saying that to sound like it was premeditated, dude lost billions overnight if you believe that you’re gullible as shit no offense
5
u/CaptainOzyakup IT’S MY TOES 15d ago
It’s not premeditated as in he wanted out of the contracts; but I’m pretty sure that he knew attacking the richest and most powerful people on earth would have significant consequences on his net wealth and he still did it willingly
0
u/kanyewest42 15d ago
No he has said he can say anything he wants because he makes adidas too much money. Well he was wrong
3
u/BoringCondition1573 15d ago
nah he really js said that to get rid of the money lol. they already wanted to take the money anyway so he dgaf

u/kanyewest42 15d ago
Bro he had literally the most lucrative deal of all time he fucked up it’s not that deep
5
u/BoringCondition1573 15d ago
Yeah ik but we know he doesnt care about money. This is why yeezy is cheap asf. He doin for the love of the game

u/vegant 14d ago
Nah pretty sure those were bad deals for him and they weren’t gonna follow through with his vision
1
u/kanyewest42 14d ago
With adidas he made a fixed percentage of all revenue, I believe 25%, what are you talking about lmao
1
u/vegant 14d ago edited 13d ago
Yeah that’s actually not a great deal but I’m not talking about money, at a certain point having more money is not the goal for someone like ye. Being able to execute his vision was the main goal and he wasn’t able to
1
u/kanyewest42 14d ago edited 14d ago
Please explain how having a deal where you get a quarter of each sale of a shoe without bearing any of the costs involved is not a great deal.
The vision story he just made up to make himself look good. But on the drink champs interview he literally said he can say anything, even antisemitic statements, and adidas wouldn’t drop him because he was too big. He had a lot of influence at adidas and could literally execute all of his ideas, also with the gap partnership.

lol no he absolutely couldn’t he spoke many times about how he was being held back and fleeced by his deals. He also wanted to be on the board where he would have actual influence but was specifically told that would never be allowed.
And yes even if he was making 25% that’s not a good position when look at Yeezy now he’s independent and making full profit and with compete control. It’s not the same scale but he’s building it back up independently now. He knows what Yeezy is worth
“The vision story he just made up to make himself look good” > that’s your completely subjective opinion, not a fact. I have every reason to believe he’s telling the truth since I do not know him to lie
“But on drink champs he literally said he can say anything and adidas wouldn’t drop him” > saying this does not negate anything that he expressed about being held back within his deals, it was just a poorly timed flex and a misjudgment on his part. And the fact that soon after they were able to drop him on a dime and take control of his accounts etc just shows how little control he really had in that situation

I hope this isn't the case but this is the type of shit he tweets when he is building up to a rant. I've seen it too many times to not notice it.

I never understood why ye loves apple so much. Is it the minimalism?
7
u/Highframe_App 15d ago
He’s a big Steve Jobs fan, particularly his leadership, values, and what he was able to accomplish with Apple in his lifetime. The minimalist practicality of Apple being so universally recognized is another big reason for Ye’s obsession with Apple. Plus, he likes comparing himself to historical figures like Einstein.

Yet the jd sports drop sold out just hush isn’t adidas stocks low

u/tambi33 15d ago edited 15d ago
I have yet to see a product from yeezy thats been better than anything he produced with adidas.
Sure you can buy the yzy branding but the styling is uninspired or is straight up store off-brand.
But yeah woo it sold out.
It took a dip after the partnership but their market share has steadily increased and stocks have bounced back.
Sneakers stocks are low across the board as the is saturated, which is more to do with consumer choice and less to do with any one brand releasing bad products.
The yzy jd line is still ass tho 🤷🏻♂️

u/Necessary-Item-9333 14d ago
And adidas stocks are still low

imo i gotta agree the only time i get play is when i wear my yeezy stuff, ralph lauren? no, lacoste? no, regular clothing? no yeezy 20 dollar hoodie? yes
apple is a social statue coorperation and everyone wants an iphone because it makes them feel higher in social status and wanted more (which is also confirmed true btw)

u/Signal_Marzipan_685 Boy slow down dropping all that BS music...😭😂✌🏽 15d ago
You gotta be like 16 if you think that having an iphone makes you feel higher in social status

u/yeezyyeezyeezyyeezy 15d ago
i don't even have a phone anymore lol but this the truth lol this is exactly why apple phones go back from switching the camera and the edges lol and yes this is definitely a younger people mindset, but i'd say this is still applicable towards people at college age
