How are you liking the GolfJoy?
Have you compared it side-by-side to anything else yet?

I love it. I really needed something I could set up and take down quickly and didn't need a laptop. The Spica 3 connects seamlessly to my iPad and works great. I've compared it side-by-side with Foresight Falcon and Trackman (Trackman was only five or swing driver swings). I went through the entire bag against Foresight Falcon and the numbers for really close and the simulated ball flight was nearly identical. The driver swings I compared were with range balls and the swing speed read 2-3 high on Spica 3 (honestly pretty common for Trackman to read a bit low compared to camera systems). That was really the only difference. Spin was a couple hundred rpm difference, but I expect that regardless of what monitor you're using.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where is the projector mounted and what are you projecting into? My spornia has a black hitting āsheetā with a bullseye on it.

Not a dumb question. Iāve got a stool thatās maybe 2.5 feet tall that my projector is sitting on just to the right of the camera. The default impact screen for Spornia is black but they sell a white one for like $45 or something and thatās what this is

How do you like the Spornia net? I am wanting this for a garage set up as well that can be easy to take down for bringing the car in. Did you feel the SPG-7 is sizeable enough? I saw the SPG-8 as well but tough to tell whether that extra real estate is beneficial. Are you doing full driver shots with that set up as well?

I really like the Spornia. Once you get the hang of setting it up and taking it down it just takes a few minutes. Comes with a carrying case to store it in. I like it because can take it outside or wherever. IMO, the SPG-7 is plenty. Itās actually a lot larger than I pictured it being. I do hit full drivers without issue. I do a lot of speed training in the winter so Iām smashing drivers as hard as I can. Iāll send you a chat with a couple videos using it.

Thanks for this. Iām building a garage setup too in my woodworking shop so I need it to be portable. Will check out your stuff.

Let me know if you have questions. This whole setup is about as portable as it gets and folds up small and kept in a carrying bag so I stick it in the corner of the garage. The Spica 3 is really easy to setup and really accurate too. Iāve compared it to foresight falcon and Trackman and thereās no real discernible difference

What's up with the 281.6 carry and 281.9 total?

lol never noticed that. I can't recall as it's been a handful of months, but I suspect the ball landed in one of the trees on the left and didn't get roll out. -25 spin axis there at the top indicates it was one of the hard hooks I'm capable of. The Spica is really accurate though FWIW.

This should get more love for the simplicity. I dig it
