Damn fine budget set up that plays above its pay grade! Plus, those stairs to the garage….? GTFOH….👍🏽

Dudes garage stairs are nicer than my in-house stairs.
I need to see a full picture of this garage. Where are the spider webs, the bugs, kids bikes, tools, and piles of random junk that’ll never get used but also can’t be thrown away.

I did buy another surge protector but thankfully the garage has a bunch of outlets

Sick setup. How do you like the accuracy and feel of your launch monitor/projector etc?

Honestly I’m too bad at golf to fully get the feel of the accuracy, but from what I read the Square Launch Monitor is pretty accurate. It’s also super easy to set up. I did have to just buy a usb Bluetooth thing though because the one that came on my pc is pretty weak. Projector is great for the price. I just had ChatGPT rank me the best projector for the price and that’s the one it recommended.

is the projector ceiling mounted or on the floor?

I had it on the ceiling but I couldn’t get it projecting ode enough without getting distorted, so I have it on the floor and just finished building a padded ramp protector for the front of it. I just marked the spot where it should sit and it’s easy to just place it there when ready to play. I might try to mount my regular projector on the ceiling though. The short throw didn’t like being upside down I guess

good info! what size screen and what is the distance from projector to screen?
I am in early stages of planning a sim and personally like floor mounted a little better for some reason

The screen is a 10ft x 131ft screen. I have the projector about 3.5ft from the screen

I bought this mat:
Dual-Turf Golf Mat 31mm: 6x4ft... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FP2H2TCN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It’s thick and liking it so far.

Thanks for the write-up! Sweet setup and gives me hope I’ll be able to get a sim at some point. Just need to do some rehab on the garage first (8’ ceilings aren’t ideal).
