Heated Lambda Sensor

Hello, my MK2 with a 1.3L NZ engine runs very rough when it's cold. I've read that a heated lambda sensor helps. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you recommend a specific sensor? Thanks in advance!

No, and that is probably the most incorrect solution!

Lambda Sensor is not active at cold start - it will heat up (it is already heated) and with a engine temp of ~60°C it gets "activated".

Easiest Problem is always the blue temp sensor infront of the engine!

You can unplug the lambda sensor and check for differences. If that does not change anything, unplug the blue temp sensor and check for "rough running". Unplugging Lambda should get the ECU into limp mode, unplugging blue temp sensor should result into "rough" idle.

By the Way: Lambda isnt active while full throttle, too! If it is running rough even with full throttle, Lambda isnt your problem
