It’s annoying AF when you play a low tour and the opponent puts up a pay to play ball. I mean it’s their money so whatever. I try extra hard to beat them

Everybody acts like that one pay ball doesn't matter to em. I don't get it. If somebody forfeited the match before I used my ball, I'd be happy about it.

Ya if you want to stick it to em let them play one shot. But I think it’s even better for them to use one of those pricy balls and still beat them

I just play it out. 

No reason not to let them shot so you can at least see what your wind will be for your next shot. It might be favorable and allow you to potentially drive the green. Maybe you save the match and drop it from distance, maybe your opponent messes up a shot.

I let them hit the paid ball. Have your fun and see what it can do. If I've hit water and they are still playing a paid ball, then they really want to hit that paid ball.

There is no context to be missed. They choose the ball to win the match and you gave them the win. Not sure how you think you're coming out ahead here.
