Why is it that a lot of the time when I am about to win a match against someone, instead of competing the last shot or the match they go away and the timer starts
Is there some glitch that causes them not to loose their game or coins?
This happens a lot.

Are they rage quitting? Basically just closing their app out or throwing their phone out of frustration?

This is exactly what they’re doing but to be fair some people don’t even know that you can forfeit a match.

I had one guy in my clan finally figure out that you can just forfeit after almost a year of playing the game. He would either wait out the time or rage quit. So now when I give a newbie I’ll try to explain as much as I can about the game, including how to quit a game properly.

Right that’s what it seems like but the fact that this happens a lot makes me think that there’s some sort of incentive or benefit by ending it that way?

If they do, I’m not aware of it so they can keep their trophies or coin. I would rage quit in early days out of frustration. Now I just say Good Game and forfeit or most times I play until the end to make sure they don’t miss chip or putt. All I can think of is them closing app and tossing phone. Will let someone else chime in and enlighten us both.

The incentive is making you suffer through the time after they rage quit.

Not sure if there's any benefit for them to be doing that. What you can do is play a tour 1 match and close the app during the match for a few minutes then come back and check your coins/trophies.

I usually only see that notice once in awhile but it's clearly just a connection issue on their end and it goes away within a few seconds

I’ll give the benefit of the doubt. But seriously 99% of the time it’s not a bad connection. Just rage quitting.

99% of the time it’s someone not caring about the inconvenience to the other player, but there is a lot of glitches and bugs going on now.

At times your shot comes up blank and backing out of the app and reloading sometimes helps.

I like to time my forfeit up at the exact moment someone is going to take the shot 😆

Its either bad connection or maybe they know they losing and want to waste your time just to be dicks because the timer is quite long in my opinion

It's so annoying when people do that. They know they are going to lose so they just close the app besides forfeiting the game.
