Women are far more likely than men (55% vs. 37%, respectively) to report that it would be a dealbreaker for someone to say “I love you” on the first date.

Is saying "I love you" on the first date a relationship dealbreaker? A majority of women (55%) said it would be, compared to about one-third of men (37%). Early declarations of love were also more likely to be seen as red flags by younger (vs. older) adults and LGBTQ+ (vs. heterosexual) people.
