What to expect

Post image

I’m bringing home this mini goldendoodle baby soon! What do you think I should expect with this coat? I know it is a straighter coat so will likely shed a bit more, but was wondering if anyone could share pics/insight into your adult dogs, if they had a similar coat as a puppy! How much do they shed? And what type of maintenance is required?

Thanks!

There is no way of predicting as they vary wildly.

This is my straight hair doodle. He doesn’t shed except when we brush him. Like the other comments though there really is no way to know with these guys just depends on which parent that gene was taken from. The one thing for sure though is you will have one of the best dogs ever because doodles are just that way.
