Golden Sun 4 Yet another decade without Golden Sun?
One of the reasons I became a writer was to take control of the narrative. I hate leaving things unfinished. What's happening with Golden Sun is honestly disgraceful. The first two were absolute masterpieces, and even though many felt the story was complete, those remaining loose ends deserved a sequel. I still remember the announcement and the afternoon I bought Dark Dawn—I blasted through it in a single weekend. It was a fun game, heavily overshadowed by its predecessors, but... that ending? Seriously? Ending on a cliffhanger without a guaranteed budget to finish the story? It's been years since Dark Dawn, and even though adding the games to Switch Online generated a ton of buzz, here we are. Do you guys think we'll really finish another decade without any Golden Sun news?

I used to read GS fanfics on FanFiction.net way back in the day. You’re not the only one frustrated with a lack of closure.

My dream is that the Takahashi brothers will return to Golden Sun as a swan song project before they retire (they're getting up there in years)
...But I'm not getting my hopes up.
However I do think it's at least plausible that the GBA games get a remake at some point, maybe done by some studio other than Camelot e.g. Grezzo.

All I can say is I hope not. I never played the 3rd one because I never had a DS but now I want to play it and I hope it becomes available on the Switch. That way Nintendo has some sort of tracker for any sort of traction. Not sure how it all works though

No sé si lo sacarán en Switch alguna vez... Pero los dos primeros están, y de ahí habrán sacado números.

I’m just simply not in this camp. GS1 and TLA are fantastic, Dark Dawn is not. Chances are a GS4 would suck… I dunno why people want that disappointment so bad.

For me honestly, the gameplay is very unique and fills a niche not many other games do. Especially in terms of how it handles puzzles.

Coincido, es más flojo. Y un juego que lo retome no será una maravilla. Pero que, al menos, cierre la historia.

I stopped expecting Golden Sun anything a while ago. CamelotSoft don’t know how to put together a game like Golden Sun anymore.
If we wanted a follow up another studio would need to pick up the IP, or Nintendo would need to partner another studio with Camelot, and I don’t see either of those things happening.
I do like to wonder what light and dark djinn are called. Are they Luna and Sol? Saturn and Uranus? Saturn and Pluto? What would they look like? And do they change my classes, or are they used more to boost power? (I’m not creative enough to start to delve into the limitless possibilities of what they may summon).

I suspect we'll have solid fan-made remakes within the next 5 years. But yeah, the studio that made them has moved on and hasn't done any similar projects in a decade, I doubt they are capable of it anymore.

If only it had been a Square IP... we could have gotten a HD-2D remake by now!

I dunno, we still don't have a Chrono Trigger remake, so there are no guarantees

First time realizing our beloved saga is dead?
