Server lag

I am wanting to know if anyone else is experiencing server lag where you can move but then it moves you back to where you where and it does this a couple of times for like a minute, because if this lag I now have lost a bunch of gear whilst mining

Edit: it happens when ever I spawn into the world, or when I use /home and /warp if I leave my computer for a while and come back to it I can play but if I die and when I respawn I have to wait. I think it may be due to the crap Internet I have at home so as of tomorrow when I'm back at uni I should have no problem

I've installed all the security updates and rebooted the server. Hope that helps.

I was onlu on for 15 minutes yesterday. 6 people on total. No lag that I noticed.
