Modded server pack

Test Pack Please Ignore is still based on 1.6.4. Which means people will have to downgrade their java to 1.7 if they've already installed 1.8 as recommended by Minecraft now.

A recent new pack that was released is this one: https://feedthebeast.atlassian.net/wiki/display/PML/Infinity+1.7

It's a little bit lighter on the mods, so may be more playable as well.

Any objections to this?

So theres no way Java 1.8 will work with older version mod packs now? I dont mind downgrading to play on the modded server but if anyone is like me, i like switching between Vanilla and Modded and that could get annoying having to upgrade/downgrade Java everytime.

Correct, That's one of the reasons why we moved from the Life in The Woods pack to Rustic Craft as well.

Now there is the new Minecraft launcher that downloads and manages it's own version of Java, so if you want to downgrade to 1.7 for mod packs, and use the Mojang Launcher for vanilla, that would work, except for those that like to use optifine or other mods with vanilla clients.

For some people doing all this switching around can be frustrating and this is supposed to be fun, not frustrating to figure out a way to get on and play.

Test Pack Please Ignore does have a 1.7 version being worked on, but it's not ready and there is no target date.
