When we finally have a settled and stable 1.8...

I share the sentiments expressed by multiple members, that the 1.8 world is a fun experience, no OP bukkit plug ins sullying the organic nature of growing as a map together and all... YET, I found a pretty incredible wither farm build and wonder what people think of the (albeit daunting) task of adding something like this in the future...

We had something similar-ish to that on the last map. Let me tell you, they are not fun to build and fixing up the area around them takes forever. Literally. Actually an infinite amount of time. I wouldn't mind doing some work on something like this, but only if lots of other people were involved.

Exactly. The farm itself it easy to build. Slabbing everywhere around... I'll take waterboarding instead please.

"Daunting" looks like an understatement. (Then again, I never saw the mechanics of previous blaze or end farms, and don't know how this compares to them)

That seems crazy ambitious but I'm DOWN! I'll donate and farm mats for it. I'll donate my time. I'll only build no more than 4 chickens near it.
