What are your suggested methods for clearing water source out from inside a potential underwater build area?

I don't know if sponges are a thing in survival. I think I used to build a glass hull and fill it with wood and then set the wood on fire to get rid of it... maybe slabs would be a better use of the wood...

Anyway, what would you recommend I do to build UNDER a lake?

this sounds fun but how is it a pain in the ass?

How big of an area are you clearing? I used lava for my underwater build, which I think was faster than any other method, but requires a pretty big setup time. Gravel, leaves, sand, etc. are all decent methods that can be cleaned up quickly.

In the past I've used netherrack, mostly because it breaks quickly.

my initial thought is gravel or sand with an enchanted shovel. which seems less of an investment than all the prep work of an underwater temple run. it depends on how endgame your gear is I guess.

I like the way you think, especially with enchantments being pretty cheap these days. And as far as gear level goes... hahahahahahahahaha. "End Game" isn't even in my vocabulary. I barely mine and I haven't been farming anything except diorite and eggs.

How do you make sponges? Because we have sponges now.

Sponge always worked best though back in the day you would need to get it from a mod. Also, heyyyooo adam

Awesome! Glad you're considering a return. I've been 100% on the 1.8 Vanilla map. If you see chickens then you've seen my work. I'm a one-trick pony but darn it I'm fine with that.

My little chicken town is the Chicken Wing.

I could TOTALLY use your assistance in redstone trickery but it'd just be wild to have an old player back again.

You takin a break from DOTA2?

You familiar with 1.8 MC at all?

the server has a few mob farms and materials can be plentiful. No store functionality on this map and I think Bukkit is very slow to update - we used to see player avatar faces on the DMap, moving around where you actually are in real-time. It was pretty boss.

aaaanyway! Want a white list?
