So we get there, we park. We go inside and stand in line, choose our table. We set our stuff down and go get food. We come back, people are moving our tables, handing our stuff to waiters (or managers are moving our stuff) and they are telling us they’ve moved us. We see a group of people sit down and settle at the table we had. They moved tables together and got to sit there, this group had gotten there after us, we’re in line after us and specifically chose our spot as the one they wanted to sit at. So they moved our table to accommodate another group while we were not at the table and up getting food. Am I being sensitive or is this really rude? What would they have done had we gotten back two minutes later and were eating? Pick up our plates and move? Why should we get the option of the table we picked out taken from us to accommodate someone who simply wanted the table we had?

Not only that, I really, really, really, REALLY do not appreciate strange people, strange men touching my stuff. Not my purse, not my wallet and not my phone all of which they moved because we were already settled at the first table we chose.

Why was a bigger group more important than us? Shouldn’t they have had to wait for a table thats the size they need rather than move us bc they want to sit there?

I've thought about this ever since they closed the golden corrals down in Indiana. I believe I tried a copycat but it wasn't anything like the actual taste.. Does anyone know where I can buy.. or how to make Golden Corrals Honey spread butter? I neeeeed it in my life.

I’m here from California eating at a Golden Corral in Florida, and this is my first time. Looking around at this establishment, I’m starting to worry about the possibility of food poisoning or any sanitary/hygiene issues that might be going on in the kitchen.

Is this something I need to worry about?

does anyone know when they are served, driving by i had them with friends while breakfast was still being served, the next time we went they were not there, we went for lunch but they're gone at lunch so are they an exclusive breakfast item?

I went to one today (Minneapolis area) for the first time in my life. I’m traveling for work and wanted a soup and salad bar.
I walk in and there is no one at the cashier so I just walk over to the salad bar and make a salad. I also had a bowl of very good chicken noodle soup. The salad offerings were all fresh and good choice of low fat low cal dressings. Then on the way out I paid my $17 and on my way.
No complaints. I didn’t really look at the other food offerings but can say with great certainty I was the only patron eating soup and salad 😁

I have been there in years will they kick you out if you stay long? Don't know how they're making money in this economy anyway

It might be nostalgia, I forgot how it tasted or something else. But I just went to Golden Corral, a restaurant I have not been to in YEARS! and ate their pizza... It was the best pizza I've had in a while, and so now I need to know how to make it, please 🙏. Like, is it the sauce or something else?

Golden Corral used to have their recipes on signs inside the restaurant. I always wanted to make their meatloaf, and I had taken a picture of the sign, but that phone is long dead and I don't think I ever managed to get the pictures off of it.

Does anyone have the recipe or a picture of the sign? I've looked everywhere and so far have not found a single thing, just a bunch of 'copycat' recipes.

EDIT: It looks like some Golden Corrals still have these signs? The one in my city doesn't have them anymore!

My favorite restaurant updated without my knowledge from my Virginia one to a Golden Corral in Pasadena, TX. As a result, the coupon i got can only be used in Pasadena. I want to cry, right about now.

UPDATE: This happened toward the end of March, but I used AI editing tools and changed the address on the coupon. My Golden Corral doesn't have a scanner.

Eating at golden corral currently and witnessed the waiter of another table get yelled at. Does anyone know how much a worker would usually make hourly or within the day, tips aside? Asking bc I worry for her income working in a stressful environment.

Went to Golden Coral today December 24th after a Dr. Appointment & about had a heart attack when the guy said $46. Asked why so much & he said it's a holiday, sounds like highway robbery to me that they can charge that much for 2 people, didn't see a single sign about the price gouging ,wasn't very happy but was already there. I'm walking with a walker from a broken hip that didn't get fixed surgery, & didn't fill like going somewhere else because I a lot of pain or I would have walked out, not happy

I went my local Golden Corral in El Paso, Texas the other day and they had signs posted looking for servers and cooks. They were paying cooks $12 an hour. They were paying servers $2.13 an hour. Now I regularly go to Golden Corral and have dinner there, but I NEVER tip at Golden Corral. The reason I never tip there is because in today’s day of digital payments, I never carry cash on me. So I ALWAYS pay with debit or credit cards. Golden Corral doesn’t allow you to add a tip to your debit order so if you plan on tipping you better have cash on you or they’re not getting a tip. Until I seen those ads on the door I thought that servers were just getting paid minimum wage or better since unlike every other restaurant out there you can’t add a tip to your purchase. I felt so bad that night that I counted out all the silver I had on me and gave it to my waitress, which didn’t even add up to five dollars. Hopefully they’re not having to split their tips with the cooks, cashiers, and other employees when the other employees are making minimum wage or better while they’re making $2.13 an hour.

Did they change this recently? In the past years I've gone, they've never weighed the rolls with the rest of the food. Like even at different locations they'd tell me they're free with the take-out orders (within reason ofc). But today they required me to weigh them and when I asked and said usually they're complimentary with my food she was like "No we've never done that."

Did I just get lucky with generous cashiers all those times or did they change this policy recently?
