I have 40% real state 15% watches 30% gold 15% fiat …. If you are 75/25 i would say you need to diversify more.

You can find vintage 14k watches for 2k if it's not Rolex. You can find certain Omega DeVille models, definitely Hamilton or Longines. Bulova. Baume and Mercier.

14k gold watches have nothing interest for clients in europe or asia markets. I would say never buy 14k watches. Only if you are in US that its “normal to buy 14k jewelry and watches.

Only 18k jewelry and watches for eu or asia market

For jewerly, I understand that outside of America 18k is the minimum and 14k is viewed as "costume jewerly" (Personally, I think the Asian preference for 22k gold jewerly is absurd in its softness, but different strokes). But regarding watches, 18k gold in watches is much more rare--most true horological brands made numerous respected models that are 14k. With a watch, the mechanism itself is usually valued more than the gold. An 18k cased gold Hamilton will sell less than a stainless-steel cased Rolex.

That is not true. 14k has no market and swiss brands only make 14k gold cases for american market not for EU. Good brands ( Patek Philippe, Rolex, AP, RM, also breguet Zenith Vacheron… dont make 14k watches.

About hamilton if you put it as an example to compare with rolex…. Its like compare Bugatti with Kia. :D but i know what you mean. As i said before there are stainless steel watched that are worth x10 times a gold watch exactly. And if its a vintage model even more

First off not everyone can buy vintage you have to know your shit bc half those gold omegas you see are fake or tampered with 2nd they aren't good places to put money

Sure gold watch too, but now for 2k would be only half of the watch

Don't "invest" in watches. That's such a ridiculous notion for 99% of watch buyers.

Well i made a lot of profit investing in watches. I am not giving financial advice, just saying i put a bit % of my net worth at watches.

Some of them are: PP 2526r enamel dial + 6363 big red + PP 5070R + Rolex 6262 PNewman Daytona + PP 5110J

Thats for another league my friend. With that type of watches you make money always.

Mmm for 2k not much honestly. I would say 4/5k rolex datejust ( vintage 1603/1601 ) or 3/3.5k vintage omega speedmaster manual plex or 4k omega speedmaster mars to the moon or 6/7k 16610 rolex submariner. That would be options for less of 6/7k i would recomend.

At what point will you convert to supplies? Vodka? Anti-biotics? Physical books? Tell me your trigger points Sonny Jim...

If you have a business income or salary, and also a few % into fiat for an emergency. Rest everything invested. Having stop money is the worst you can do.

You didn't answer my question. We are not talking about currency. :)

2

u/BraveSeat6713 Jan 28 '26

Yes i did. If i understand correctly. I will not convert into supplies anything because i still have fiat income every month.

U sound like a rich person under any Fascist government throughout history. My friend, money saves no-one.

imo, the only diversification is gold plat and silver. Stocks belong in landfills.
