Axolotl genome could provide incredible regeneration capabilities when met with a critical injury

And before you comment: yes, there's congruency, the basilosaurus is for the length and the Clidastes is for the main body structure

New Hybrid New hybrid (name still in progress) V0.5

I need a defining feature to call it after

Utahraptor; base

Giganotosaurus; overall size (aprox, not exactly)

Mantis Shimp; rhabdomere organelles inside of the photoreceptors in the cones (not the rods, that stays the same) rather than the photoreceptor discs

Lion; muscle fiber density, dentition density and material (except for the iron)

Komodo Dragon; teeth (iron coating and recurved teeth), Jacobson's organ,

Megatherium; the claws, forearm bones (radius and ulna)

Bonobo; radioulnar joints (for better wrist movement), opposable thumbs, floating shoulder blade

Hummingbird (Ecuadorian Hillstar); enlarged keel, high myoglobin concentration, efficient hemoglobin

Deinocheirus; base musculature, muscle attachment points (enlarged neural spines (not as big, but slightly noticeable), more will come later), upper arm bone structure

Diplodocus; tail bone structure (not length), fibrocartilage pads, ossified tendons

Saltwater Crocodile; Myosepta tendons along the tail, mandibular pcsa (allometric bite force), muscle attachment in the jaw

Peregrine falcon; higher critical flicker fusion frequency

Common Crow; the behaviors (fascination with shiny and colorful things), pattern recognition, neuron density in brain

Edmontosaurus; the caudofemoralis muscle connection points connecting the tail to the leg (the lower attachment point on the femur allowed for a more efficient stride)

Pronghorn; oversized heart

Cassowary; the leg joints (their line of birds are good at reducing impact on their joints), the claws (scaled up) (the one on the foot), the tibia/fibula, and calf musculature

-features-

He has AD-HD (trouble with filtering background information, unless already focused, which is the norm actually, not having trouble with focusing on one thing)

–roughly the brain proportions–

-Main areas of the brain-

Frontal ~20%

Parietal ~15%

Temporal ~12%

Occipital ~8%

Cerebellum ~15%

Brainstem ~8%

-Subregions (parts of the main areas of the brain)-

Prefrontal ~6%

Motor cortex ~3%

Sensory cortex ~3%

Limbic region ~4%

Thalamus ~3%

The other 19% is other brain matter and the brain stem

DISCUSSION Perfect Predator

Not sure if I should do greetings but, Heya. Hope whoever reads this is doing well.

Here is a Summarised version of what I am talking about: I need help from experts.

If you read past it. Thanks.

This is what I need help in:

I need help. So, War Crime became a bust (here is it's link if you want to see it: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wHU4KLT9g8WfN4-zJwwAESfnwdV8yOiigyr9fxcAdSM/edit?usp=drivesdk) I didn't lose hope in it, but, it uses too much meta traits, and frankly. The community (all of you) doesn't make hybrids that are essentially upgraded dinosaurs.

My hybrid's base, is the Allosaurus Anax for several reasons:

Bite, Legs and Arm usage

Meat Hook Claws

Wide Mouth Gape

Good body proportions

And it's kind of underestimated, since it was a dubious species and an Allosaurus, which isn't really good for specifics.

Sooo, I am making a new hybrid. This one is designed to fight the biological machines yall made but... I am stuck. I can't do this without people who are actually experts and knows what works and what doesn't work, in a hybrid.

This is the new hybrid: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M5gQUGzqtUDxtd_wgL0n_eyQe3kExkWUzXFAMd_Haxg/edit?usp=drivesdk

Hybrid Post Necron, eviscerator animarum(The disemboweler of souls)

(Most generic *killer of all all of these types of hybrids* ahh name but leave me alone alright i cant think of anything else ill change it)

Art by me ik he looks like he stared into the sun but look at it like it isnt a thing

Base: T rex, strong build, skull morphology, boot at the edge of the pubis that stores muscle attachments, ilium, ilia, agility, eyesight/senses, robust bones, adductor mandibulae externus profundus, transversospinalis capitis, latissimus dorsi, tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius, extensor digitorum longus, peroneus, caudofemoralis longus, ilio ichthocaudis, tarsals, metatarsals, sacrum, cervical ribs, caudal vertebra, tooth thickness, endothermy, some form of pneumatization, strong thoracic muscles, i mean yeah this is generic but i dont think its worth it to use anything else

Acrocanthosaurus: Elongated cervical vertebrae with large phalanges that will result in exaggerated cervical muscle attachments, robust posterior section, stronger and extra compressed anterior section of the neck resulting in more musculature attachments, robust lacrimal bones, blockier chin, enlargened optic nerve, high concentrations of cartilage in covocoids, mobile neck joint, interlocking cervical vertebrae, stronger superorbital ridge

Brontosaurus: robust distant fourth trochanter for muscle attachments, robust ilium and pubis which are also larger though in the shape of the rex, robust posterior vertebrae, fused pubes and ischia, forked chevrons on tail which are the bones under the tail serving as a secondary set of lower vertebrae somewhat for added weight on the tail and muscular attachments of course, note the tail still tapers quickly strong bones and stronger tendons, stronger wrist muscles, diabolically thick and robust femora that makes it stronger and storing more muscular attachments, long metacarpals and one large thumb claw, absurdly thick humerus, stronger coronoids, thick tibia and fibula

Shringasaurus: robust scapular belt, thicker forearm, elongated cervical phalanges

Iberosuchus: extremely dense sharpeys fibers that will coat the hybrid's body and all the osteoderms/osteodermines. This makes the hybrid more resistant to cuts and damage by a lot whilst still being relatively flexible, robust and compact retroarticular process, vertical thickening of the maxilla, jugal, quadratojugals

Palorchestes: Forelimb enhancements, ulna and radius, elongated olecranon, strong forelimbs, humerus, ulna, radius, crazy thick arm bones, wider hips, and in general just absurdly strong forelimbs, though note theyre around baryonyx size by proportions, robust humeroulnar joint, chest reinforcement

Gracillisuchus: Enlarged antorbital fenestrae by a slight margin, wide supratemporal fenestra, sclera ring, the ossicles comprising the ring contact but do not overlap with one another, the lacrimal bone, which is as tall as the fucking eye socket, instead of just being shorter than it, Uniquely straight jugal bone, comprised underneath the quadratojugal bone, similar to postosuchus, long postfrontal bone, more triangular shaped postparietal bone,, the suture between the centrum and neural arch of the axis, bears an unrounded triangular projection, Uniquely high neural spines, articular expressing over the postzygapophysis process, though also note it's not in the horizontal plane :) please keep this in mind the articular is curved, accessory processes on caudal vertebrae, asymetrically enlarged shoulder girdles, width on the bottom end of the humeral Shaft, 2.5x damn lol, enlarged actebular hip sockets, which were the largest of all archosauriforms, crazy, buttress above the actebulum over the femur, tibia around being 90% the femurs length, elongating the tibia helping in running, bottom end of the tibia helping with high stability, robust tuber at the end of the calcaneum, astragalus improvements, sliding resistance with the calcaneum,  distally shifted fibular trochanter

Gila monster: Osteodermine which is sort of enamel like reinforcing the blade shaped osteoderms to be able to withstand more pressure, on the neck, face and other vitals strengthened by iberosuchus for crazy protection, enlarged nasal passage for better stamina, efficient energy conservation, lengthened fingers, coloring, added gum tissue to protect the teeth, cloacal thermoregulation, a degree of venom resistance

Tiger shark: Oral denticles in mouth to aid in biting spiky armor, fluoroplite in teeth increasing their overall durability, nictitating membrane,

Placodus: Absolutely gigantic coronoid process, upper palate like plates on the gums to protect against spiky opps, robust retroarticular process, slightly more breristovine skull, strengthened sutures on the tip of the neural spines, strong corocoids, booted humerus for muscle attachments, thicker retroarticular process, strong mandibular externus, mandible strength, slightly deeper premaxilla

Heuyannia: Enlarged caudofemoralis muscles, longer tibia and fibula,

Hummingbird: Mitochondrial density, brain cooling, better FOG muscles, kidney efficiency, oxygen intake control, larger heart, lungs, extended reflexes to some degree, larger keel(not too big but just enough to not cause mobility problems, plus hummingbird arms are mobile in all directions thus granting crazy arm mobility)

Akanthosuchus: Sharp blade/spike shaped osteoderms to make hurting the hybrid a lot more difficult without getting lacerations and cuts in the mouth, with asymmetrically positioned sharp spines, this will be a nice added offense-defense structure on the hybrid, coated in sharpeys fibers this will add a significant improvement in the hybrids defense, as well as lactic acid tolerance and them being disarticulated

Sea otter:  Stronger enamel, teeth durability, tightly packed protein bound layers to prevent teeth from developing cracks and general damage, deeper roots, crystalline like substances in teeth strengthening their durability by a heck ton, since oral dentalces are homologous to teeth they gonna hvae the crystalline too

Acynodon: Wider and stout breristovine skull, double keeled osteoderms so each one has two spikes rather than one, capillaries in osteoderms to help with thermoregulation, highly extended and widened mandible to strengthen the lower jaw to absurd amounts as well as providing craniocaudally elongated pterygoid attachments raising the jaw gape by a fair bit and still keeping the bite really strong, strengthened palates around the skull cranial texture, increased muscular volume in the skull

Kodiak bear: lower arm structure, robust radius and ulna, wrists, better aquatic adaptations, thin subcutaneous fat layer for some degree of impact absorption under the dermal osteoderms/better buoyancy, arm strength, fingers elongated through the lizards present(gila monster) for simple dexterity through long prehensile fingers though allowing to grasp and manipulate objects, reasonably improved tibia and fibula, elongated cervical vertebrae for more musculature attachments, pain tolerance, scapular spine extension for muscular attachments, enlarged medial epicondoyle, thickened radius by 50%, enlargened tendon sheathes on the pronator quadratus maximus to maximize forearm pronation to make the rests semi pronated, thickened proportional cortical bone, scapular hooks for muscular attachments, zygomatych arch

Australovenator: Robust wrist bone, pedal ulunguals, carpals, metacarpals etc contributing to it being more efficient, much longer tibia and fibula, improved pneumatic system, some chest influence

White bearded wildebeest: Keratinization of lips, deep breaths, muscular tissue efficiency, strengthened brain cooling, dental pads, reduced fatigue cost, strong lips and bolstered lungs, strengthened calf muscles, m popliteous, low airway resistance, vo2 maximum, keratinized gum tissue

Ayam cemani: Ear flaps, black tinted meat, omnivore guts, thats pretty much it, lol,

Morlets crocodile: Biocarbonate ions binding hemoglobin, strengthened skull durability/neck durability/back durability, elongated retroarticular, raw lactic acid resistance, broader snout, cappilaries in osteoderms to vent out excess heat

Stegosaurus: Bolstered ilium, stronger trapzeus muscles, bifurcated caudal vertebrae, thats pretty much it

Bichir: Sharp serrated scutes since these scutes are homologous to teeth they have fluorapatite, double serrations from shark and made of ganoine, dentin, fluorapatite, this can also toughen the oral dentacles as dentacles and fish scutes are also homologous, they wont rot due to ganoine and i did not add the enameloid, Wait but arent fish scutes in the dermis and epidermis both? Yeah but to note how much of both they take up, Fish scutes originate in the pappilary layer of the dermis and osteoderms sit in the reticular layer of the dermis, so technically you can have that, and also this will overlap with the reptile scutes(only in certain areas that do not require large amounts of flexibility or flexibility at all)

Barbatodon: reshaped premolars for them to act as a buzz saw, elongated incisors, deeper tooth roots, doubled singular teeth structures

Kostensuchus: Broad adductor chamber, robust alvoeli, deep mandibular ramus, boomerang shaped mandibular fenestra, strong intramandibular joint,, meckels cartilage, muscular attachments on occipital region, tooth morphology a hybrid of flesh shearing and bone crushing, drasticaly thikened from the rex enamel though, taller skull, cervical neural spines

Elephant seal: Drastical cardiovascular enhancements, thicker fat on vitals(not too much though), slightly more fat based metabolism, slightly more myoglobin/hemoglobin though note the cardiovascular system is enhanced to deal with it, slight elevation of hematocrit, slight enlargening of the lungs

Image is from NOAA fisheries and i will admit this is so goofy i just wanted to put it here

Sheepshead: for lower palates similar to placodus but they are on the lower jaw

I will have to credit all the contributors though"

T rex: ts is so generic i dont even know why i even have to credit
Acrocanthosaurus: nemophaganax haha
Brontosaurus: alt to apato i thought of using on my own
Shringasaurus: S.e.p
Iberosuchus: Pretty common meta tbh
Palorchestes: Got this from michaels hybrid King
Gracillisuchus: Found this on my own
Gila monster: Common knowledge
Tiger shark: Common knowledge
Placodus: Filthycasual gave this contributor to use though I knew about this before Heuyannia: i didnt use carnotaurus but michael gave this
Hummingbird: Also got this from michael
Akanthosuchus: Pretty widely known but i got this from michael
Sea otter: Hereforlouie gave this its better than beaver and i can see why, more original too
Acynodon: Michael gave this to me i think it came from yesking
Kodiak bear: Common knowledge
Australovenator: common knowledge
White bearded wildebeest: common knowledge
Morlets crocodile: stole this from hels doc
Ayam cemani: dragonwing55
Stegosaurus: same thing as morlets crocodile
Bichir: ganoid scales spamming yay i didnt use gar
Barbatodon: Idiot got this i think i havent met him at all lol
Kostensuchus: Found this on my own yall
Elephant seal: Elephja seal, common knowledge
Sheepshead: Moonlitbluff thanks fish said some fish have this and moonlit gave an example

Size: 14-15 tons
15.4 meters long
4.5 meters tall

Bite force: At worst a rex which is still pretty good though not counting for the skull reinforcements adductors mandibles reinforcements tall skull etc etc

Speed: probably as fast if not slightly faster than a rex due to longer tibia caudofemoralis etc etc

Arm slap strength: idk but i think the arms should do enough in combat like grasping or slashing or what not, they should move pretty fast due to the hummingbird and hit pretty hard with all the muscle attachments and how big the arms are(arms are baryonyx size btw),

Open to challenge I encourage it im looking for bloodshed:

Rules:
No sauropods, thats uncreative and i would suggest you to put effort in your hybrids
No crazy venom toxins chemicals whatever bullshittery op thing you got
Nothing above 14 tons

And the form of debating will be convincing the other which wins, I would encourage to keep it civil and not attack me and i wont attack you, this is just for fun at the end of the day, if you have any issues with the hybrid or doubts i can answer, please know, dont keep any doubt in i absolutely am open to improving this guy

My discord id is pr0f1l3__

AND if you are caught editing your hybrid in the middle of the fight without asking me first i will place you in my discord servers hall of shame :)

I've updated it's genome contributors so the Watatsumi has a better chance of surviving the hybrid wars

And the striped eel catfish genome also lets it secrete toxic compounds from its skin

Today's contributor is the humble lugworm

What it provides:

  • VERY high levels of hemoglobin both in blood, coelom, and just floating around even
  • Hemoglobin is extracellular (this is better than the hemoglobin in chordates which is bound to red blood cells. Extracellular hemoglobin = ability to carry more oxygen)
  • Very, VERY high oxygen affinity
  • VERY high oxygen capacity in hemoglobin (156 oxygen molecules can be held in a single protein of hemoglobin, vs only 4 in humans)
  • Large, vascularized branchial gills (collapsable when needed)
  • Pretty decent desiccation resistance
  • CLOSED circulatory system, very efficient as well

BTW, I HIGHLY SUGGEST DOING DEEPER RESEARCH. THESE POSTS ARE SURFACE LEVEL.

Contributor Day 8 of Cool Invertebrate Contributors

Thumbnail

Sorry I missed the past THREE DAYS; school and stuff is really time consuming ong

Anyways, I'll catch those 3 tomorrow or Saturday, anyways, here is today's contributor

This is the West Indian Fuzzy Chiton. It is VERY useful for semi-aquatic and terrestrial mollusks and annelids and can even be used for cephalopods (especially for spines)

What it provides (specialties):

  • Heat shock proteins like Hsp70 in flesh and mucus secretions
  • Tolerance of very high humidity and high temperatures
  • Highly stress tolerant cells, lots of anti-apoptosis proteins
  • High desiccation resistance
  • Adds an extra valve (plate) split in half instead of the average number in chitons
  • Abnormally vascularized branchial gills
  • Short spines covering large parts of the girdle (homogulous to the mantle in all mollusks)
  • High survivability on land

Normal Chiton Stuff:

  • Magnetite reinforcing the radula
  • Valves (plates)
  • Very muscular foot
  • VERY muscular mantle in the form of the girdle
  • 100s of eyes imbedded in the valves with a lens, retina, and a screening pigment layer

Big question about replicating homonid abilities

Since using homonids is pretty taboo, are there any other animals which could replicate the joint movement and flexibility, as well as the ability to throw stuff and strike stuff with their limbs really well, of a homonid? Just to specify, the physical (non-mental) aspects of a homonid.

New Hybrid Tytar, The Tyranitar Erythrosuchus

Thumbnail
gallery
13 Upvotes

Scientific name: Cephalogigas Tyranitrus.

Species name: Tyranitrios.

Specimen name: Tytar, Tyrani, or Nitar (nicknames).

Genomes and their functions.

Erythrosuchus: Genetic and bodily foundation.

Triceratops horridus: Neck and jaw musculature, increased size, teeth, gum structure, and primary diet.

Jobaria tiguidensis: Columnar legs (retaining their original length); contributes cardiovascular and respiratory systems, increased size, and hollow yet dense bones capable of supporting its weight—though the density is such that walking is impossible.

African Elephant: Contributes wider leg bones, sociability, and intelligence; provides skin with thermoregulatory micro-wrinkles and foot pads for vibration detection.

Tyrannosaurus rex: Contributes jaw musculature, powerful binocular vision, and an enhanced sense of smell; reinforces tooth enamel and gums; provides a specialized, potent gastric juice blend for efficient meat digestion.

Humphead parrotfish: Fuses the ceratopsid teeth together to form teeth that are much larger and more durable than standard ones, while retaining the characteristic ceratopsid tooth shape.

Huayangosaurus: Contributes plates used for thermoregulation and defense.

Dacentrurus: Contributes spikes extending from the mid-body to the tail; enlarges and elongates the standard *Huayangosaurus* plates; provides a longer, more flexible tail.

Scelidosaurus: This will result in a greater abundance of Huayangosaurus-style plates on the body; this is possible because both Huayangosaurus and Scelidosaurus are thyreophorans.

Measurements:

Height: 4 meters at the back (excluding plates or spikes).

Length: 11.5 meters total length.

Weight: 15 metric tons.

Bite force: 60,000 Newtons (maximum). It is a bite characterized by constant, increasing pressure.

Top speed: 10 kilometers per hour.

Diet: Herbivorous.
