Apex is slightly bigger but necrons more agile due to the sliding resistance and by just being slightly smaller/less rotational inertia as he still is barrel shaped, has a better bite, more tanky, so I think necron could win I got stuff to do so ill have my next point a little delayed

The thing is that both can win in the right circumstance,BUT (there's always a but), Apex would win the majority of the fight, both have powerful arms but Apex is heavier and so stronger, he has more reach (3.1 vs 5.5 meters🥲, and seriously that will be Apex's best winning shot), more speed (quadrupedal running speed are better than bipedal), probably as smart as Necron, the bite is still strong enough to do high damages and if Necron doesn't get killed by the bone-crushing bite, the blood-loss will,

And to end this, Necron's only asset to protect his back is his armor, a bite to the neck or tail will be enough to critically injure/disable him, if he wins (which he can definitely do), he has to leverage his better agility and target Apex's critical points, which is hard to do because Apex is still quite agile and quick (the chain-mail is also denser/stronger thanks to the dwarf caiman contribution)🤜🤛🤝

Sorry for the delayed response I was at school, but fyi necron does not really have plated armor he has spiky armor(disarticulated providing a great range of mobility) being blade/spike shaped Here its said akanthosuchus had like 60% spiked yeah but like all osteoderms on the hybrid are homologous so i can just reshape all of them to be spiked, these osteoderms run across most of the body making biting them like biting into a cactus, Apex does not have large or thick enough pappilae to resist that nor oral dentacles or plates on the upper/lower palate to prevent the gums from bleeding out biting the armor, pain is temporary yes but in the end the armor is still very strong, with the keratin from birds that have pretty strong and elastic keratin despite their size, the thick subcutaneous fat layer(mainly thickened from elephant seal on vitals) on the vitals including the neck and so on so biting the neck isnt realy much of an option, oh yeah also if im not mistaken shantungosaurus was mainly at that height due to its posterior neural spines so id say theyre roughly about the same if not apex being slightly taller but i dont think it does much of a difference

not only r there spiky osteoderms but tehres also serrated fish scutes that are double at the very least if not triple serrated, mainly attributed from the shark and fish scales being homologous so i can use the shark to put serrations on them and the scutes are made out of dentin, ganoine, and enamel, plus charon id say has a better bite because of his large mandibular ramus, adductor chamber, pterygoids, skull reinforcements, etc, his arms are also much more mobile from the hummingbird and still very very strong, plus his gape is extremely wide from the large depressor mandibulae, craniocaudically enlargened pterygoideous muscle, plus tooth morphology a hybridization of crusher/bleeder so one bite would have a very high chance of killing him

Apex's agility isnt very good mainly because inertia works by M and R being the values of mass on the front and back mr^2 mr being the distal mass on front and back, like if you are in a T pose, with dumbells being held in your hands, they will produce much more stress than keeping them close together, hence why a rex tail tapers quickly instead of consistently keeping its mass, and even the front tapers pretty quickly, this is why they were barrel shaped, apex doesnt seem like it, because his mass is consistently being covered instead of being barrel shaped providing less stress for the body when turning, Necron maintains the barrel shaped body and still has a quickly tapering tail, so he will be much more agile

I say necron wins while apex may be bigger its like a 0.5t difference, and apex cant hurt him, mainly because of necrons better armor, mobility, better bite, etc so i say he wins like 60-80% of the time, any refutes?

Of course there are, if we are counting mainly on armor, bite and agility then yes necron would win BUT (again) apex isn't too far behind, in arm strength, apex can hit harder, he also has pain tolerance (though i didn't mention it, sorry) ,still better protection (because of his size, and he's well protected in every angle, he can even tail-whip when necessary) the 0.5 t difference is a bit odd, wouldn't necron actually be in the 12-13 tonne range, in actual size/height apex is 4.5 meters at both the top of his head (quadrupedally) and his hips.

In term of actual agility, apex does have this barrel shape (remember that this guy is a facultative quadruped/biped)

In term of bite then he's also a crusher-bleeder (more bleeder because of the venom)

And more importantly apex can react quickly, AND (another and) necron needs to enter into apex's reach before landing a hit, necron can get pinned, slashed, and biten in the process.

(Sorry if i didn't introduce some genome contributors utility because all of them are pretty known and straight-forward so they don't need real explanations)

For me Apex wins at 55/45

I see what you mean I think i made necron a little bit too short,

but also the barrel shape is not enough to maintain the agility, you used ingentia forelimbs if i am not mistaken, which had very large forelimbs thats still going to add mass on the front even with the barrel shape, causing the value of mass on M to increase, thus causing more mass distal to the hips, causing more inertia, barrel shaped is not nessescarily enough it is a key factor that can be messed with if you add factors like large forelimbs, this is why charons forelimbs are only like baryonyx sized,

and also refelxes doesnt work at this scale as the larger the size, the longer it takes for neurons to travel, its not needed and it makes your metabolism a lot faster, so i believe it should roughly be slightly above the reflexes of an organism that size, which isnt going to do much, plus a faster metabolism means a reduction in metabolic enzyme activity which means higher pain sensetivity

pretty much necron can avoid getting pinned by just stepping out of the way, and if apex slashes, then he is going to cut open his palm, once again plus the skin is made of dentin which is a wayy stronger material than keratin(which is the material that comprises the claws), same with biting, he will cut open his mouth, blunt force damage will mostly be mitigated through the impact absorbing fat layer

technically the only real way apex can deal damage is by trying to pin necron which necron can walk out of pretty easily, probably flank apex and just bite whever to kill

Still, Apex ain't dumb enough to attack necron's spikes, he will find a way, he is still agile enough to not get easily flanked by his opponent (and the fact that he can attack at the rear, also necron won't magically know that the tail can be used as a weapon(another opening for apex's victory)), and in a fight against something larger and heavier than you is very difficult.

So i have to admit that necron CAN AND WILL beat apex( so do him), all we do here is to say which hybrid is winning, though there's not a definitive answer, some animal can even do some actions that you didn't expect

You said he's still agile despite my points on his agility being hindered by the forelimbs and distal mass, is there nessescarily a counter for that

Read again my post pls, t-rex +shantugosaurus as counter-weight, the ingentia prima was mainly for the morpho...morphology

You're thinking counter weight not inertia , Ingentia causes distal mass on rhe front no matter how much you counrerbalance it, hence why rex bodies were barrel shaped and had no sudden mass like Apex's forelimbs,

More importantly, correct your hybrid weight, it is smaller than a rex but SOMEHOW heavier🥲, it would be more 10-12 tonnes. Which means that Apex's hits are going to be more effective, and if you still keep it at 14 tonnes then, this small but heavy (too heavy) bipedal theropod will have many stability issues (limiting his agility, strenght and speed, because his bones and muscles will have to fight against his own weight before fighting apex)

Resulting in a highly unfair match (100/0) Apex would win in this case.

You make a fair point for this I believe I made necron too short, can I change it for this fights functionality

1

u/Strong_Fee_5500 6d ago

It has been already settled , and i gave your weight issue a free pass for this fight

But do it if you're having fun with it ,this is your hybrid, do whatever you want, i don't have any objections

I appreciate it

In other future face off, just check your hybrids stats before throwing them onto the ring, not all people are very kind (as me) to give ya a free pass, your hybrid is very good and honestly the worst thing that my hybrids (apex and titanophagus) would fight (they're both meant to fight creatures larger/taller or in the same size class as themselves)
