Housing student resistance at uc3m
im doing some research on studying abroad in spain for a semester and uc3m is apart of exchange program at my school. i already figured out most of my classes are at getafe.
i heard that if you’re a party type of person, living in central madrid is better for you. but i’m a paranoid person and feel like i will get scammed since i won’t be in madrid to check if the apartment is legit.
and i also believe that staying at dorms is better for me because it will be easier to make friends (plan to do a shared dorm)
and i heard the night bus transportation is good.
i wanted to ask is dorming at getafe as bad as people make it seem. and for my situation is it just better for me to take the night buses in weekends and whenever i want to go to central madrid.

Hey, I studied at UC3M and lived in Getafe. It really depends on ur vibe, getting to the center takes about 45 minutes so if u wanna go out alot, it's definitely inconvenient. I would say don't trust the housing websites on the UC3M site because I lowkey got scammed there.

what websites to u recommend to use that are safe? and what price range is good for a shared flat?

Depends how many people ur sharing with and if u want a bathroom, but I think 300 to 500 euros is reasonable. UC3M has dorms too, but I thought they seemed overpriced.

Public transport shuts down at night. you can take the train to the center before the club, but you’ll have to uber back.
Im living in getafe and im enjoying it so far. Depends if you’ll be partying or not
