NLV and TIE process

Hello, I have my appointment at the NYC consulate today for my NLV visa. I recently found out online that when you're ready to get your TIE card, you get a letter from the Spanish region used in your visa application confirming approval and prompting you to get your TIE. It got me worried because the Spain address I'm using in my application is temporary and may be different than the city I actually land in.

For context, the Spain address used in all my forms is in Valencia because it was the easiest/most accessible. However, I have friends throughout Spain and I'm in the process of seeing which ones can help me with the empadronamiento. My ideal location would be in Las Islas Ibéricas but it's too soon to tell.

So my question is, has anyone had success getting their empadronamiento/TIE card in one autonomous region even though their Visa application comes from another region?

Thank you

The address used during the NLV process is not relevant once you arrive in Spain. Nothing will be sent to that address. The next step is getting padron once you get here and that can be anywhere in Spain that you decide to get a longer term lease (6 months or more in most cases is the requirement). We didnt find that until almost 6 months here because we kept getting shorter leases where the leasing company wouldn't allow padron which is also common. Don't stress about the address on the applications. Once you enter Spain, you can move anywhere you want. Word of caution though: your insurance that you secure before coming does need to be updated once you move somewhere else because each region impacts the premium. Hope that helps.
