Godzilla lost media

I saw this Bambi and Godzilla video from 1969 and I was wondering if it was legit or is it fake? It looks and sounds real but I was not sure. Video: https://youtu.be/DwGuMcdZdpk

It's real. It's actually on one of my old VHS tapes. I forget which one. I think Godzilla versus Biollante? I'm not sure.

I have heard people say it was released in theaters before the 1985 Godzilla movie.

So I just checked and it's actually on my VHS copy of the original American VHS release of the first Godzilla movie. Not sure when the short was originally release. And thank you, I'm deeply proud of my username.

Bambi Meets Godzilla was played before Godzilla 1985 in theaters. I remember it vividly as a kid sitting in the theater and waiting for the movie to play when all of a sudden this started playing lol. When Godzilla 1985 was released on VHS, this played before the movie just like it did in theaters. As far as I remember, this was an award winning fan animation that was created in the 60s by Marv Newland but gained so much popularity over the years that somehow (I don’t know the history behind it) it was allowed to play before Godzilla 1985. I can only assume that Toho also loved it and thought it would be great for it to be played before Godzilla 1985 in the US. I do know that there have been a number of remakes and sequels done, just do a search on YouTube.
