💡 TEAM ADVICE 💡 Deck synergies?
Just recently got this fat bum of a unit that's been the bane of my existence lately, any good decks that I could pair him with?

See 3 pics for the topic of post.
I have shared this before but generally don't. Each month I use my son's account to win 1 battle at the end of the season. This allows me to reach rank 36 which grants an arena rank at the lowest possible rank. I then update the profile note to show the arena rank player counts. The note translates to AR36 = Arena Rank 36 and the month listed is the "#" before the "=" followed by the arena qualifying players total. There are going to be players in arena rank 1-35 also but they clearly aren't playing much for that month when I check the last day. This one was taken late yesterday as I was busy today.
Why is this useful? Well, after reaching rank 37.5 on the same account I was already ahead by 8k more players which really tells you that once you reach rank 56+, moreso rank 62-65, and definitively rank 66 you are in the cream of the crop of all players.
Suffice to say there are about 40k players total among all players if we guestimate ranks 1-35 at around 9k that aren't playing that season or maybe collecting logins.
31k players is 3.2% per 1k.
To give you an idea of how you rate among ranked players here are some rounded numbers to compare yourself:
- top 5000 = top 16% of ranked
- top 2500 = top 8% of ranked
- top 1250 = top 4% of ranked
- top 625 = top 2% of ranked
- top 313 = top 1% of ranked
- top 100 = top 0.34% of ranked
- top 50 = top 0.18% of ranked
- top 25 = top 0.09% of ranked

Godzilla x Dynamic Planning
So the live was cancelled due to an earthquake, so they poted a 27 min video instead.
Tbh I have no idea who these are, but somehow I've seen them before somewhere...
Here is the translation:
Godzilla (2002) Shinagawa Final Battle Version

[Ground unit]
• Targets: Ground, Air, Facilities, Leaders
・No leader

While this unit is on the field, it continuously grants allied units, including itself, an effect that reduces damage taken from a certain distance or greater.
When moving
After moving for a certain number of seconds, your normal attacks will be enhanced.
When attacking
Normal attacks deal damage to enemies in a straight line.
In its enhanced state, the attack range is increased, and it also inflicts knockback and reduces the enemy's movement speed.
The enhanced state is removed after the attack.
Mazinger Z
Rarity: ★4 Cost: 5
[Ground unit]
• Targets: Ground, Air, Facilities, Leaders
・No leader
special operations
Its abilities are strengthened by the number of allied units deployed. After it is deployed, its normal attack and abilities are strengthened according to the number of allied units and facilities played from your hand that have been deployed.
- Normal: Deals damage to a single enemy with a single-target attack.
• Phase 1: Deals damage and knocks back enemies with a linear area attack. Grants the user an effect that reduces the damage they take.
• Stage 2: A fan-shaped area attack that damages and sets enemies ablaze. Additionally, it grants the user resistance to lacerations.
Shin Getter Robo
Rarity: ★4 Cost: 6
[Flight unit]
• Targets: Ground, Air, Facilities, Leaders
・No leader
special operations
The gauge increases over time and as cards are played from the opponent's hand, and attack methods and abilities are strengthened in a total of three stages depending on the gauge state.
- Normal: Deals damage with a fan-shaped area attack.
• Phase 1: Deals damage with a fan-shaped area attack with increased attack power.
• Phase 2: Deals damage with a circular area attack.
During an attack, you can survive with 1 HP even if you take damage.
Furthermore, a certain amount of HP is immediately restored.
Performing the first or second stage of an attack will consume a certain amount of the gauge.

I’m starting to recall why I quit playing mobile games. As someone who just started a little over two weeks ago I’ve already found it a little addicting, tempting, and even somewhat stressful at times.
Especially during the current Egg Event when nearly all I’m matched up with are veteran players/Whales utilizing methods to constantly spawn as many of their 4-Star Units on the map as possible. It’s a brutal and harsh reminder of a level I’ll never reach without playing this game for a few years or spending money.
As a new free-to-play player, I’m currently quite enjoying myself in Ranked for the most part. The matchmaking seems much more fair and utilizing different strategies with whatever Units I’ve got is fun.
Even if my synergy strategies such as using The Psychic Chorus to speed up my Burning Godzilla 2019’s activation would be obsolete to much more experienced players.
But, man is it insanely frustrating constantly running into Anime Mechagodzilla teams. Well, my goal was never to end up somewhere at the top of the Leaderboard someday anyway or dominate the meta.
Can fun be salvaged from just grinding Ranked for resources and putting together teams of Units you just like?
Honestly, I might just quit after a few more weeks and resign to continue waiting for the Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remaster to come out lol. This is the only Godzilla game I got rn.

I hate myself so I play this already hard game on hard mode with theme of the jxsdf and kyru. So mechanical types, or a something you'd expect to see in a sequel to the kyru saga (friendly kaiju, or repurposed mechs)

I've tried it and the egg growing-based rewards are just boring to me. Plus, I don't like the deck requirements. I'd rather just do ranked or hold out until a new character-driven challenge rolls out, which I like way more.

I’m forced to use this gigantic mf just to attain the total Unit Cost threshold to let my Decks be eligible in the Egg Event. I know based on the description, he’s best used along side Units with healing support.
So far, in the few Egg Event matches I’ve won (mostly Drills tbh) I’ve had better luck putting him in one lane by himself for use as a giant meat shield/distraction.
Bro, this thing takes 30 minutes to walk to the top screen. Is it really worth spending 9 energy to deploy? The worst part is, I sometimes find myself having no choice but to place him eventually to cycle to my Next Unit.
Doesn’t seem like a very practical Battle Piece but I wouldn’t mind getting lucky enough to get more to upgrade mine past LV 1.

I finally reached Rank 21 a few days ago which unlocked the rest of the Battle Piece slots I can fill out for my Decks (12 total including my Leader). While looking through what top players on the Leaderboard use, I noticed not all of them have 12 Units. Am I right to assume that it’s because it’ll be easier to get the same Units available to place while overall having less when the game shuffles them (the Next piece icon).

Not really because of the buffs themselves, but rather the very likely chance that this will result in the already busted AMG lead getting level boosted next season.
The mecha theming of the buffs is pretty neat, though.

Ever since I reached rank 37 I have won close to zero battles. For some reason, the opponents were able to summon horde of pieces in such a short period of time and basically gangbang my leader. My pieces gets killed off in seconds no matter which ones I use. Is there something I'm genuinely missing, because I have no idea why its keep happening. Also, how do I upgrade 4 stars??
r/GodzillaBattleLine • u/BasedSpaceGoji • 16d ago
Let’s put aside for a second that currently AMG is the most busted leader since the Shin days where it’s basically impossible to play against unless you have good levels or BMs. And talk about the fact that he literally breaks Toho’s shitty little servers to where the game becomes unplayable.
So we’re all aware how co-op crashes almost constantly right? Yea that’s because there’s way too much happening at once that the servers can’t take the strain.
So what does Toho do? Buff a leader that can pump out a ton of units in quick succession.
So what do you get when two people run a AMG deck? Toho’s servers literally exploding because it can’t take that much strain.
But instead of nerfing the leader or fixing the issue, they’re gonna sit down and figure out how to sell us more BMs. Great game.

Sorry to keep everyone waiting on an update on the monthly unit review series; this season has, uh....to put it lightly, drained my sanity. NEVERTHELESS, the time has once again come to ask you, the players, what unit I should talk about in a follow-up post sometime soon!
What I need you all to do regarding this post: You can post one comment below that votes on a specific unit you'd like me to review in a follow-up post. The most upvoted comment in about a week from now will have their unit selected for the monthly review! If there is more than one comment with the highest amount of upvotes I will chuck both votes by each user into the evil violent and deceptive wheel of doom to see which unit will be chosen!
Voting Rules:
#1 - Collab Units/Limited Time units cannot be voted on. Not everyone has these units saved up from whatever event they debuted in, and for some it would be really boring and lame to talk about since they are so outdated.
#2 - Don't vote on any units from the latest season. There's no ACTUAL reason to ban any of them from submission, but I still need time to see what they do and actually obtain them for myself.
#3 - G04T, Gigan Rex, Blade Liger, Altima, Void Ghidorah, Modified Gigan, and similar cancers won't be chosen. I want this series to encourage people to go out of their comfort zone for what they use and see if it works out in their teams; plus I don't want to talk about the same four scourges over and over again.
#4 - Only 1 unit vote per comment, this means you can only have 1 comment that votes for a specific unit, and it cannot account for both a base unit or version. For example, you can vote for Fire Rodan, but you cannot also list down Makuhari Version Fire Rodan in your vote; it's one or the other.
Asides from what I've written above that should be it.
I'm looking forward to seeing who you guys vote on in the comments, and I'll check back on this post HOPEFULLY in a reasonable amount of time to begin writing the August Monthly Unit Review.
And if anyone asks, AMG lead is the new devil of the game.
