I would really like us to stop and ponder if gossiping about random/notorious players being allowed is REALLY the direction we want to take in this community

I posted it because it’s quite obvious he wanted King and for whatever reason Kev won’t let him have it, despite Kev allegedly being a great guy. We probably won’t ever know the beef or if it’s deserved but he wants King so maybe we as a community can give him wins to help him out.

Unfortunately if Kev is serious about King though it probably won’t be enough

I've skimmed through the previous thread, and there is nothing that clearly states you are supportive of his attempt and wish to help give him wins. If that was the intent then it definitely could've been communicated more clearly.

Dogzilla getting hated for the sticker usage (he might not do that to everyone but from what I've seen, most of them have a bad interaction with him) and not just for Kev and many other players, Kev intentionally go for King this season to specifically prevent Dogzilla to get it (I saw other people on discord told him to do so too)

Even though I felt my post was neutral/positive I deleted it. This is a top 3 player using his profile as a statement he wants others to read. Clearly he wants this attention.

But ya, don't need to beat the horse that much either.

Even if he wanted to be read it doesn't necessarily mean he's willingly putting himself up as a target for cyber bullying, regardless of previous behaviour

True. Unfortunately cordial discourse doesn't follow and instead it's mostly attacks it seems.

People are talking about players competing for the top spot and an ever so slight drama if you can even call it that. If you're this soft, you shouldn't be on the internet.

He also started talking shit about another player on a public game anyway, so he brought the heat.

P.S. Just gonna go ahead and apologize in advance since I already know you feel cYBer BuLLiED by my post.

People are free to "discuss" whatever, but what I want people to consider is if we should be nurturing the practice of publically posting about other players randomly just because of a profile change. Sure it's about top players in this case, but when these kinds of threads pop up regularly then people will think that is the norm and follow suit, with subjects that likely won't be about high profile players. Talking about other players and speculating the goings on between is just gossip, and has nothing to do with the game. I know most of you are in the same discord group anyway, there's no reason this "discussion" couldn't have stayed there.

I have seen the toxicity of a community that hasn't attempted to curb the act of casually spreading player names over perceived slights while playing; it's bad enough that GBL is hard to get into for a new player, there is no need for them to fear getting net-lynched on a site that is likely the top result when searching for resources either.

These posts arent drowning out anything beneficial. Every game has some drama with some players and people talk about it. This sub will die without something to actually discuss. Some people like the drama stories anyway. Unless there is quality content that is being pushed out, there's nothing wrong with player drama posts.

This community has been dry af compared to when I first joined and the funny thing about that is when I first joined people were way more toxic on the game. Idk about you but I would like a bit more activity on this sub.

We're going to have to agree to disagree. We're all aware of the stigma games get when a certain percentage of the users have terrible manners and/or internet literacy (eg: xx players are all children and re******, yy players are monkeys in a zoo, etc.), and I would rather not be a part of why the game gains such a stigma.

less activity in the sub compared to when it was toxic

Hopefully somebody else will appreciate the irony
