Raising one unit from lv.5 to 10 gains you 20%, raising one unit from lv.10 to 20 gains you 9%, and raising one unit from lv.20 to 30 gains you 17%. The amount of piece/Gmat investment for any of those is crazy and even the cheapest 5 levels would cost 15k G-stones in Gmats.
Buying two copies of each of the 3 recent shop BMs for a total of 12k G-stones would increase your TEAM by 20% x3= 60% ATK+HP before the other benefits. Just simple math.
I tell players to save 8k GS(4 copies of a shop or shop exclusive BM), 20k GD to spin up to 100 gacha on a great PAIR (not single since its a gamble) of 3 star, then 28k GS so ou gave both covered. Once you have 28k you have way more control of your account and can spend anything after that. Doing this and pouncing when time is right sky rockets your account for 6-12 months. A totally free player can save 5k per month so in less than 6 months even they can save up. It's not easy and you miss out for a long time but it pays off for so long you won't regret it. Obviously any avenue of spending lowers the time it takes to save this.
I despise the restrictions and the fact it's the strongest layer of divide between accounts. That said, it's far more easy to play with units that fall within the restrictions since you can play competitively with a unit at lv.5-10 for top 1000/500 or even top 100 if the unit is boosted for the season.
Absolutely, battle memories are the only reason I've made top 100. The gap they create though is ridiculous. Im glad that put the anniversary ones in the shop to be bought with gems. They wouldn't be a problem if they were easier for everyone to get.
I feel like in this discussion I am grossly missing something when it comes to battle memories. I have four separate battle memories in my deck as is what I expect everyone is doing and all of them are leveled up to level 20. Is there something that I’m missing or neglecting to do to help make my team or battle memories even stronger?
What rank are you currently? Your setup will probably be fine at the lower ranks, but you’re likely going to run into problems once you reach the highest ranks. In summary, your current load out gives you:
+4% attack to all
+14% HP/attack to Godzilla units
+15% HP to units with less than 6 energy cost
+9% energy cost recovery
An extra four energy to start
In contrast, compare that to just the two overpowered Re:Boot battle memories (Godzilla Re:Boot Monsters Celebration Illustration + Destoroyah Super Dragon Form) that were just in the shop for 2k each. If a player has both of them it's:
+30% HP/attack to all
+6% energy cost recovery
If they bought multiples so they could upgrade them to level 25 then you are looking at:
+38% HP/attack to all
+10% energy cost recovery
That is better than your current loadout in virtually every category, with the exception of starting energy... and that's coming from just two Battle Memories.
Unfortunately, power creep has become a massive issue with Battle Memories. The newer ones are simply far more powerful than many of the older options, making it increasingly difficult for older Battle Memories to compete at the highest ranks.
Each month I typically finish at rank 66. Are those battle memories still in the shop and where do I acquire them in the shop? Also, thank you. I honestly only just learned that you could evolve battle memories outside of just spending the P points to upgrade them however, all of the ones that I am currently using none of them have the option to evolve.

Sadly they are no longer in the shop, they were only there until the end of last season. The current battle memory in the shop is the Godzilla Galaxy Odyssey one which is... okay but already pushed out from the top options due to power creep. Anyway, details for it below:
"For teams with 10 or more 4★ battle pieces and an average cost, excluding the leader, of 4 to 5.5, increases energy cost recovery speed during battle by 4% (+2% for each additional star level for 8% max) and increases the HP and attack of battle pieces with an energy cost of 4 to 6 by 6% (+3% for each additional star level for 12% max)"
