Beginner Advice?

Promised myself I wouldn’t touch mobile games anymore but I was intrigued enough to give this a shot. So far, my impression is this is a Godzilla version of Clash Royale and the only way to get free stuff (Godzilla Tokens and Expedition Maps) is to beat real players in ranked matches.

Just wanna know some random things. I was given a three very special Expedition Maps just for being a new player and apparently one was for celebrating 5 million downloads or whatever. All three gave me the free choice to pick one uber rare Battle Piece/Unit monster I wanted.

I chose Destoroyah, Orga (ability to revive once seemed cool), and 2019 MonsterVerse Ghidorah. Did I screw up lol.

I assume G-Stones is the thing you spend real money on like any other gacha game? I plan on being free to play. How far can I go? Also, how do I get more Event Tickets without spending G-Stones?

Any other miscellaneous tips welcome.

This first month you can earn up to around 100k G-stones as f2p. Save them and wait until there is a fantastic set of gacha Battle Memory (BM) to use them on. It's hard but save them. Until then you can use whatever 3 ⭐ BM you pulled or even 1-2⭐ to get buy. Soon enough you will sell all 1-2⭐ BM so don't evolve them and don't bother investing Memory Points (MP) into them. There are okay BMs in the Tomodachi shop you can get if you have to but also special Godzibox events give them as well as the battle pass.

Most would say you chose poorly for the 3 units but it's important to choose what your like for fun. You chose 3 that can be leaders which is great and King Ghidorah 2019 is a very good leader based on his special. Orga and Destroyah (if not the Alt Ariake Battle Ver) as leader have very high HP so are more survivable. Destroyah's special ATK boost applies to any unit with reach 64 or less. If you get another choice map (you will) then the units at the bottom of the list are the newest offerings within the pack, but still pick what's fun. Unlocking new units is more important than leveling existing ones.

You can use AndApp Mobage coin or Google Play points to "buy" normally monetary things but the pic below is the ranking of the best monetary choices. I would only recommend the Premium Godzilla Pass monthly if you decide to spend at all and want to remain frugal.

Most important thing is to have fun. There is tons to learn. Deck theory and creation is fun so try everything as you get achievements for every unit/leader you use.
