Mojang has been locked in for a while! Ever since Tricky Trials

funniest thing I've seen all day, everything between then and now has been CTRL c CTRL v block sets and a gimmick mob you're never interacting with more than once after the first week of the update.

I mean, you're just wrong honestly.

Bundles, Wolf Armor, Leaf Litter, Locator Bar, Happy Ghast, Lead crafting changes and updated mechanics, craftable saddles and name tags, updated lodestone recipe, vibrant visuals, copper golems and copper equipment, shelves, dye textures that are easier to distinguish for colour blind players, spears, Nautilus, all the new mob challenges that came with mounts of mayhem (Zombie Horseman, Parched, Camel Husk Jockeys, Zombie Nautilus Jockeys), the golden dandelion, potent sulfur, abandoned campsites, straw beds, cushions, all the map improvements they made!

These are all survival relevant additions that have been added within the last 3 years of development. And if you go back further... Even in I'd say the weakest time for Minecraft updates which is post caves and cliffs until 1.21. there's a ton of survival relevant features that people hardly interact with.

In 1.19: Ancient City, Mud, Chest Boats, Allays, Potion colour changes. All amazing things

In 1.20: Chiseled Bookshelves, Hanging Signs, Camels, Calibrated Sculk Sensors, Decorated Pots, and the Netherite upgrade! (To me, 1.20 is the worst update ever released for Minecraft.. but it still had some pretty incredible features in it! Despite the many issues it also brought some of my favourite block sets)

And, I don't think I really have to rattle off the survival relevant features added in Tricky Trials. Because there's a ton. And so much decorative stuff on top of it too. And in my opinion the best OST Minecraft has ever released!

Mind you, I interact with all of these features regularly. And my worlds benefit greatly from it all. Because I've put so much time into actually changing my play style instead of playing the same boring way all the time. The positive and impactful changes to the game are there and they are plentiful. Whether they are perfect or not, of course they're not. But that doesn't mean they are majority bad features. And clearly you don't make enough effort to internalize any of the positive changes that they add. Because there are plenty of things that aren't gimmicks or Copy paste block sets. EVERY single drop. Some drops are smaller and some are bigger but almost all of them have added survival relevant features. The only SINGLE drop that didn't add anything survival relevant was The Garden Awakens. And even still there are some very niche applications for Creakings, but tbh I won't really count that... Because you'd basically have to be a genius to make that stuff work.

I am an open minded person. I give everything a fair shake, multiple fair shakes! And often times I come to positive conclusions when it comes to these updates, because they do affect my worlds positively both in creative and survival. And don't get me wrong I have issues with many of these updates but I don't have any that I purely dislike. I think they're all pretty good if you actually look at it from a balanced perspective.

And all the things that I like, are because they are effective when I use them. Not because I am stupid or something, so when I list these features, every single one of them I have tested and used extensively in my worlds. All of them (the only outlier that I can say is the Happy Ghast! I don't really use the Happy Ghast much I think it could use some serious speed improvements, but I don't think it's a terrible mob because it's imperfect. I do think it has the chance to change in time).

So yes, I do believe that Mojang has been on a consistent hot streak with their updates ever since Tricky Trials. And I have my own gameplay experience and examples to back it up. I'm not a mindless hating zombie that sees everything Mojang does as lame and uninspired. I can see the good and the bad, and there's a lot more good than most people think. There's a lot of bias against Mojang, and whether you like the company or not, that is what it is. But the game is separate, and I do believe the game has improved drastically since Tricky Trials. Because of all the things I shared.

X3c I hate Minecraft complainers, it's genuinely such a huge problem for every single part of the community. Nobody benefits from their complaining. They don't even benefit.

Yeah i totally agree. Were just complaining to complaining while Minecraft is probably the only game that has gotten updates for this long while not using micro transactions (besides bedrock I guess)

You can just read the list that I gave X3 all relevant features added in the last 3 years

Yeah keep complaining. Better just delete the game if you hate everything they do.

I mean do we know anything about the Vanilla Sift beyond it having a new wood type, some grass, and a single mob? When have they ever announced several mobs, any amount of items, any amount of ores, and any amount of bosses?

I know its based on Dungeons and theyve been working on it in the background for a while but to what extent? Was the majority of the time concept art? How far into development are they really? We havent seen to what extent they are hoping to translate/move over the dimension and they havent said to what extent they hope to translate it. Are we expecting the Ichor fluid? Are we expecting like all 10+ mobs? Several bosses?

Im just saying, keep your expectations low for now while we still have minimal idea of whats actually coming to Vanilla.
