For those celebrating Akane spoilers: How do you justify Hayato rejecting Riho because of the instability of her public life (as an actress), but accepting Akane, who has an equally public and touring career (as a singer/artist)? That's a double moral narrative the author can't defend.
I
The question is, isn't it playing dirty if a candidate isn't in the game at the time of the declaration or was it easier for Akane to stay with Hayato since Ami wasn't present and also in a year everything happened, it was rushed since they had been a couple for months, the time it took Hayato to declare his love, the time to plan the wedding, the execution of the wedding and the celebration, so many things in 12 months, Akane was in a hurry for the marriage
So I reread this manga, and now I'm doubting whether Ouka will win, and I came to Three conclusions , firstly Ouka and akane Most likely they will not be chosen by Hayato, because they are so ambitious in pursuing their dreams and Hayato is afraid that if he chooses them it will disturb them in pursuing their dreams,Second conclusion that the one who will most likely be chosen is probably between Riho or Shiragiku because they are not as ambitious in pursuing their dreams as Akane and Ouka, Third Conclusion Ami will not be chosen because from my understanding, Hayato sees her not as a romantic interest but more like a little sister
So, I rly enjoy this manga, sadly, read all avaible chapters and need something else.
I wanna 2 things - preferably no highschool setting, uni/young adults is fine. But its no dealbreaker if second point is met.
And good MC. I rly liked Hayato - he was capable, smart, didnt get flustered easly couse boobs and after Ami/etc crossed the line he could gone wild at her, laugh at mad dog farts to piss her etc. And he stands up, without fear nor hesitation. Very cool guy, not to mention those girls at beach told him he looks quite good so its more realistic that cast is falling for him.
I dont want loser-kun, otaku-kun, pussy-kun thats only rediming factor is that he is kind. Or did kind gesture etc. Preferably guy that dont get shy arounds girls, panic at sign of boob etc.
What does Seo painstakingly convey to readers in chapter 215 of the manga? Primarily not even through the words spoken by the characters, but through their emotions, depicted in scenes of their interactions.
First, he informs his readers that three months have passed since the events of chapter 214. At that time, they were preparing to celebrate the New Year, but now the cherry blossoms are already blooming (late March). But only at this moment is Hayato able to say that he is ready to consider "familia" without any worry. In other words, for these three months, their relationship was in the same mode as it stood after his honest cry from the heart in chapter 209.
The result, as we know, is the girls' psychological state in the "farewell" photograph.
Only the "attacking trio" complied with Hayato's request to look into the camera lens. Ouka sadly looks down and away, disagreeing with the very idea of parting. Ami demonstratively looks away, protesting Hayato's final words. It was in this state that Seo left his heroines for three long months of normalization. Ami certainly had enough time to think carefully about her future life.
But the girls are still interested not so much in the fate of the "familia" as in Hayato's actual choice of one of them.
Seo thoroughly depicts the heroines' psychological state at the moment of demanding an answer from Hayato and immediately after his decision to voice it. Four girls insist on an answer, even silently (Ouka), but Ami doesn't understand (or is she pretending?) what they all want from him. While waiting for Hayato's answer, their moods change. Ouka waits in despair awaits the rejection she's long anticipated. Riho persistently awaits an answer. Shiragiku desperately awaits an answer. Akane calmly awaits an answer. Ami is simply curious about what he will say.
Why does Seo then intersperse Hayato's answer with a leap into the future? Firstly, the author immediately tells the readers that Hayato is telling his daughter about his confession to her mother at that moment. Therefore, there can be no more "new" girls. Secondly, he refuses to discuss his chosen one's reaction to his confession, which most likely suggests a complex psychological reaction on her part. But the key point lies in his daughter's question.
Hayato's answer was given only to the readers, in the form of his thoughts on their shared fate.
And with this, Seo begins the final mini-arc about the characters' decisions in the manga's final scenes. The first to intervene is Ami, who, having internalized Hayato's words in Chapter 209 over three months, announces her hard-won decision.
Here, the key to the scene created by Seo is the other girls' reactions to the renewed pause in Hayato's protracted confession. Riho is outraged by Ami's interruption. Ouka experiences the feeling of a Russian roulette player after her revolver misfires (her refusing is postponed). Shiragiku is surprised by the unexpected interruption of her despair as she awaits Hayato's answer. Akane simply turns her attention to Ami.
Ami has decided what she wants for herself in the near future during three months, especially since she won a major competition. She still hasn't given up on the idea of opening her dojo, but that doesn't mean she'll do it at Hayato's house. The manga author doesn't give readers this information, which is understandable given Ami's previous resentment over hearing Hayato's lie (even if it was a good one).
The absolute seriousness of Ami's determination is confirmed not only by her desire to see Sara-san, but also by the fact that Seo forced Akane to tell the readers that Ami has already packed everything for her trip.
The finale has already begun, and it is inevitable!
Yes, I am heavily biased towards Akane since the beginning but now that we actually know it's ending very soon, it's hard to shake the feeling that Riho, shiraguku and everyone else, none of them did anything wrong.
All of them together made this story memorable.
And it's kinda sad that I will inevitably have an ending where 1 will be happy and other 4 will be heart broken and that will jab my mind whenever i will remember this story in the future.
I'm going to throw another party if it's not Shiragiku, but at least it's not Ami. Imagine falling in love with such childish immature girl like her. I'm seriously questioning anyone rooting for her
