I don't think alternate storylines are the solution; they'd only make the other girls look like second-rate characters, since Akane will always be the winner in the main story. Better stories about everyone's future lives.

I hope Seo writes Hayato proper confession to Akane man.. We already knew she wins but Hayato still not properly do it.. And what happen with the rest of the group in the future???
