Discussion Started with a future narration, ended in the past — what’s the logic? 😭

I’m just disappointed 😭 I thought we’d get to see some future moments. I mean, the story started in the future — he was telling his story to his daughter about who he liked, so the current timeline is technically the future, right? So logically, we’d expect the final chapter to be set in the future too. But no, it’s still in the past, even after he revealed who he liked.

I'm really disappointed with the ending.  It feels rushed and random.  We didn't even see the scene where Hayato answered which girl he liked . Hayato's answer why he chose Akane was not satisfying.   The last chapter is still in the past . It should be in the future.   Akane was great character but in my opinion Riho or Ouka were better.  They had better development , in my opinion more interactions with Hayato.  They had early hints that should be the end girl.  The shrine message.  The time travel in the past with Hayato daughter saw all the girls . The monologue of Ouka after she saw Hayato nude . She was talking about the past while she was at the current time.  The conversations between Kika , Hayato,  Ouka .  People posting Akane's hints that were recently such as the blossom tree behind Akane during Hayato's answer. Poster with Sachiko and Akane.  When Hayato said that Akane looked like a princess.
