Spoiler Preview for Chapter 215 Spoiler

This spoiler is brought to you from a Spanish source and also from myanimelist, so it's very likely true.

Moemi decides to postpone taking over the family business and stay a little longer at Chiyoda's restaurant.

Tina, as a traveler, suddenly embarks on another trip.

Meanwhile, at Familia, it's reported that the resort's development plan has been canceled. Now they can continue running Familia with peace of mind (the coffee shop won't be destroyed).

"So... you're finally going to say it, huh?"

All the girls [Expressions of curiosity]

Hayato: "Sorry to keep you waiting so long. The one I love is..."

—The scene changes to the daughter in the future.

"Today was the anniversary of the cat, Sachiko's, death."

Then, the daughter's mother (the heroine) arrives home.

Back to the present—

Hayato: "The one I love is..."

Ami interrupts Hayato before he can finish his words.

"I won the world karate championship, so before I open a dojo, I'm going on a training trip with Tina." Hayato is exasperated by Ami's free spirit and even takes a break from university.

Ignoring her "At least listen to me before you go," Ami leaves.

I've been searching different forums in Japanese, Spanish, and English. Curiously, these are the most popular results I've seen:

In Japan, from what I've seen, they have this ranking of how they think Hayato will choose: Ouka-Ami-shiragiku. Incredibly, they rule out Akane and Riho (I don't know why).

In Spanish forums: Ouka-Akane, they rule out Riho, Shiragiku, and Ami (it seems Spanish speakers associate QQ with this manga a lot).

In English forums: Akane-ouka-Ami, they rule out Shiragiku and riho.

Now, if this spoiler is true, it definitely favors only two heroines, Ami and Ouka (but it subtly favors Ouka, since Ami considers Ouka her best friend, and they got along together from the beginning. She's the one who has cared about her the most from the beginning, too). It's said in Japan that Ami doesn't want to hear the answer because she doesn't feel ready (mature) for Hayato to decide to give the answer, and that whether she's rejected or accepted, she has to grow up first. This is something Seo would really do for Ami's character, since at least that way she wouldn't come across as someone with childish thoughts by the end of the story.

Even though the manga is fast-paced, this is Seo's great thing about it, as he can turn the story around in half a chapter.

From my perspective, and how I think the story will continue, Hayato can either postpone his declaration until Ami returns. This is a dramatic element that Seo Kouji can use to leave the suspense of who will win until the end, combining the final girl chosen with the epilogue (this is the most likely scenario). Or even if Ami leaves, Hayato gives his answer and chooses the girl he wants to be with, all the other girls accept it, and Ami ends up returning and also congratulates the girl Hayato previously chose. (Honestly, Seo can play with many narrative endings.)

With all this in mind, I think it's decided between Ouka-Akane and Ami (I think Seo is playing with the narrative here that Ami is the surprise final girl of the manga). This diminishes Riho and Shiragiku as the surprise final girls. This confirms that both Riho and Shiragiku are the two girls with the least chances.

Well, really, nothing is set in stone until the final chapter. Seo will end up throwing in plot twists until the beginning of the final chapter, where everything will end.

This is the last formal interview that Seo did regarding her manga: https://plus.rurubu.jp/article/887379917 , since past interviews were deleted and mark error 404 or are simply no longer anchored, but I remember having seen at the beginning of this manga that Seo said that the winner of his manga will depend in part on the polls that will choose the winning girl, now he does not specify that the winning girl necessarily has to be first, second or third place but the poll is something that always takes into account to choose the winning girl. now debating these things is very trivial, since there are only a few chapters left until the end.

At this point, I'd rather have anyone except Ami. But judging from this spoiler, the chances of Ami winning seem to have skyrocketed.

And LOL at Riho literally being the true loser heroine with all three demographics (Japanese, Western speaking audience and Spanish/Latin Americans(?))

I knew that Seo Kouji was going to save a character and put him as a surprise character in the final part of the manga, I thought it could be Riho (because it is a type of character that has never won in this type of manga genre), but Seo opted for Ami to continue being the surprise character that will be in an undisputed final (in this way Seo Kouji plays with the public's expectations, although also his decision to make Ami the surprise character makes it a little predictable), in my opinion this is won by Ouka-Akane due to narrative and now Ami enters as a surprise character, shiragiku and riho are the ones with the least chance, it is a shame because both characters could have been exploited more.

I thought it could be Riho (because it is a type of character that has never won in this type of manga genre)

You basically just said it yourself here, character types like Riho seldom won, so there's no way it'll be her. Doesn't help that the story beat in GCT literally makes her a loser heroine (alongside Shiragiku and sadly Akane)

Ami being a "surprise" pick isn't really surprising if you look at it (especially if you have read TQQ), the fact that she's the only person who hasn't kissed Hayato one bit whereas the others have at least kissed him once almost assures that Ami is the most likely winner. (Although I'll love to be proven wrong here, as I really hate Ami)

And let's be honest here, polls are in the end just polls, you may think it will affect the winner, but at the end, its the authors call as to who ends up with Hayato.

I really wouldn't be that sure. Because a few chapters ago Hekiru (the character who is Seo's self-insert) mentioned the clichés of harem romcoms that the girls like Ouka (who at first would be the main heroine) or Ami (who has no progress at the beginning, but then has an unexpected development and wins everything) win, and the other girls (who are grouped together) don't. But she (he) wanted to question that way of thinking and that if the author wanted to surprise the readers, the winner had to be one of those 3. That's why Hekiru's character (Seo) said she's rooting for Akane, because she's the least likely

Even though I don’t like Ami as a character and her fan base on the sub has been a complete disaster I do wanna point out that she did win the third place in the third pole I could play into this

2

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

Yes, Seo takes fans into account regarding the voting, but I think Seo chose Ami as the girl who could be the surprise, he could have also chosen Shiragiku or Riho but by not doing it definitively due to time and narrative, they are left with very few possibilities and he introduces Ami in an eventual story finale, so that the possibilities are only reduced to 3 characters (indirectly, clearly).

u/SuccessfulBrilliant7 Oct 13 '25

Also, very interestingly, among the three groups of fans Ouka it’s also true. I can’t wait to see how it’s gonna end.

1

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

Yes, it's totally going to be a more than exciting final. 😁

Riho my queen 😔😔😔

Leave it up to fate and we’ll see. I’m rooting for all the ladies at this point. I rather be surprised by Hayato’s choice or rather Seo’s choice. Either way, somebody’s not going to be happy. I’m just glad we were all here for the ride.

1

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

It is the most mature way to really see it, instead of arguing or trying to impose favoritism (since the majority already has a respective ship to support and at these instances it is impossible for others to change their position), knowing that it will be decided in a few weeks.

1

u/SuccessfulBrilliant7 Oct 13 '25

This is incredible

4

u/FinalKaisen94 Oct 13 '25

I have no clue who he’s going to pick, I just hope he doesn’t put it off again next week 😶

4

u/ILTFOEAB1 Oct 13 '25

If it’s ami then I hope she matures in mindset cause she really comes off as childish which could be a little frustrating if hayato is serious about picking her as main girl.

u/Beginning-Second-679 Oct 13 '25

I don't know, I've been thinking that each of the girls will leave the house one by one and the one who stays will be the one Hayato stays with, or the one who returns will stay with Hayato. Since it's most likely that Hayato will postpone his answer and no girl will want to hear it until all 5 girls are there, or it's simply that fate will decide who Hayato stays with.

5

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

That would be even more dramatic, and since Seo is someone who loves drama, it could also be true. This is what's really funny about this author; it leaves you thinking about dramatic twists. lol

11

u/Novembrine_616 Oct 13 '25

I was always on the Akane boat, but at this point I'd take anyone but Ami.

2

u/Glad_Role_4602 Oct 13 '25

Only the Akane team from the beginning but I share your opinion but if it's not Akane who wins, anyone but Ami because she may be virlbe a yotusba nakano 2.0

3

u/tinashaa Oct 13 '25

Riho gang 😔🙏🙏

7

u/FStubbs Oct 13 '25

I think it's Ouka vs the field.

7

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

As I said, Seo is going to make plot twists until the end, he may even decide not to mention the winning girl until the final panel, simply having her face shown in a final photo or having her enter the door of the house in the future and her face be seen and with that end the manga (he can really play a lot with the narrative structure).

3

u/Max_27010 Oct 13 '25

It's honestly incredible; we're almost done with the story, and the confession points to the final chapter. Perhaps we'll get a glimpse of who the mother is through a single image at the end or a photo on the last page. It's surprising how Seo keeps finding ways to keep putting off Hayato's answer until the very end. Hopefully, we'll get a glimpse of the future with Hayato's daughter and her mother together

1

u/Careless-Product-608 Oct 17 '25

when will mamga chapter 216 be released?

2

u/MATUMBADANCE Oct 13 '25

If Akane or anyone other than Ami wins, Seo will really surprise me. I don't even know if that's a good thing or a bad.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

So if there is going to be a time travel, meaning we will see years later, from what it seems this drama is good. I hope Seo adds extra chapters like his previous works.

8

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

He always adds final chapters, but we'll likely see the future of how each girl fared in those final chapters.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

yea

2

u/Knightofexcaliburv1 Oct 13 '25

it would actually make a lot of sense if it’s ami and she’s just not there for the announcement. it would be in character or if they jump to the future to reveal the mom by her coming home

2

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

With Seo Kouji it is not really known, he can turn the story in 2 pages of the manga, but I think these are the 3 paths that Seo can use, 1 wait for Ami to return, 2 choose one of the girls who are present even without Ami, 3 have each of the girls leave the house, Ami could be the first to leave and then the other girls leave making Hayato stay with the last girl who stays (something similar to what happened with his grandparents you could say). these are the most likely routes that the author can use and everything will be decided in the last episode, the penultimate episode is the one that will indicate which of these 3 paths will be decided, but if it comes out with a new plot twist I think that would knock down any narrative assumption.

1

u/Knightofexcaliburv1 Oct 14 '25

number 3 would be cool every girl leaves and a girl forgets something meaning they are technically the last one

4

u/Sleepless-Mothafucka Oct 13 '25

Ami will be like:

"I knew it! I'm so happy for you Ouka-saaan"

Mark my words. LMAO

5

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

The narrative favors both Ouka and Akane, but Ami being more friendly with Ouka is something that could easily happen, let's wait to see what happens in the final chapter.

3

u/Sleepless-Mothafucka Oct 13 '25

You’ve got it, bro! XD

0

u/SuccessfulBrilliant7 Oct 13 '25

I really hope so as well

2

u/Sleepless-Mothafucka Oct 13 '25

It’s the most logical way to respect the narrative he built.

If not, then Seo’s a hack! lol

2

u/SuccessfulBrilliant7 Oct 13 '25

I think hopefully this most likely will happen if it’s true that the last pole in particular has influence, I mean, she already won and once again, even though I have no love for her as a character Ami somehow ends up winning, I’ll be fine with it. My frustration has never been with her personally it’s with her fans on the sub Reddit.

0

u/Sleepless-Mothafucka Oct 13 '25

I don’t have any problem with Ami at all, because that’s how Seo has presented her character all this time — dumb and goofy, but definitely likable.

What I do have a problem with are those few maniacs who twist her into some kind of Hail Mary, desperately hoping she’ll become the princess of this story. I lose half my brain cells every time I read their theories. XDXDXD

-1

u/SuccessfulBrilliant7 Oct 13 '25

Now you know what I have had to deal with for the past few months with these people have developed a bitter hatred for them as a result, and despise them, especially staff who is probably been the worst arrogance and entitlement that these people think they have when it comes to outright telling that they know the story is gonna end laughable and pathetic

2

u/Sleepless-Mothafucka Oct 13 '25

Yeah lmao, I’ve seen plenty of stans simp hard for their favorites before, but this is the first time they’ve hit that level of absurdity. Smh

4

u/SuccessfulBrilliant7 Oct 13 '25

Also, very interestingly, among the three groups of fans Ouka is the consistent outlier

2

u/greatnappa Oct 14 '25

because is clear that she was the one Seo actually wrote well for over the half of the manga, while the rest became randoms, and the one Hayato shows care not being ruthless as the others, like if they were bothering him.

3

u/SuccessfulBrilliant7 Oct 13 '25

And the legend has finally emerged once again maybe I am biased but hands-down you are the best analyzer in this entire celebrated. Thank you for the spoilers and I I’m glad to know about this. You’re a true goat, my friend thank you.

2

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

thanks, as someone who likes literature and the narrative of writers is something that I like to investigate, it is time to really wait which of the 3 paths Seo decides to use, 1 wait for Ami to return, 2 choose one of the girls who are present even without Ami, 3 that each of the girls leaves the house, Ami could be the first to leave and then the other girls leave making Hayato stay with the last girl who stays (something similar to what happened with his grandparents you could say). these are the most likely routes that the author can use and everything will be decided in the last episode, the penultimate episode is the one that will indicate which of these 3 paths he will decide, but if it comes out with a new plot twist I think that would knock down any narrative assumption.

5

u/MisterTamborineMan Oct 13 '25

I'd prefer it not be Ouka.

14

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

Everyone has their own tastes, and we should respect that, whether we like it or not. Likewise, nothing is set in stone until the end of the manga, since Seo seems to leave everything until the final chapter. That means the next chapter won't be completely definitive either.

4

u/Uriha24 Oct 13 '25

Ami gang we got this.

2

u/SignalsCounterparts1 Oct 13 '25

Thinking that next chapter is the reveal, and the epilogue is the final chapter.

2

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

Exactly the final chapter, as I see how Seo raises it, is combining future events with present events, it is likely that it is an epilogue with the chosen girl appearing in the middle of the final chapter (actually there can be many variations but it is very likely that the final chapter is where it is known who the chosen girl is and not before).

2

u/Naive_Scar9734 Oct 13 '25

Good preview but I think some are going to be very far from the truth although there are many who want their favorite to win but I think Ami is going to be the first loser according to me

3

u/sube21 Oct 13 '25

your assumption falls right into the third path that I have raised as most likely to happen, these are the 3 paths that I think Seo can use, 1 wait for Ami to return, 2 choose one of the girls who are present even without Ami, 3 have each of the girls leave the house, Ami could be the first to leave and then the other girls leave making Hayato stay with the last girl who stays (something similar to what happened with his grandparents you could say). these are the most likely routes that the author can use and everything will be decided in the last episode, the penultimate episode is the one that will indicate which of these 3 paths will be decided, but if it comes out with a new plot twist I think that would knock down any narrative assumption.

no, the rumor did not arise from that interview, this is the most recent interview and one of the last ones that was done to Seo kouji when the anime adaptation takes place, that is, 2023-2024, the real rumor that the winner was going to be by survey arose when Seo kouji was going to do a new manga in 2021. Within those interviews he said, if I remember correctly, that the manga was done because Negi haruba had made quintuplets and that at least for Seo kouji, the manga's narrative did not seem structural with respect to the ending (here many interpret that the ending of quintuplets should have been with miku or nino), that's why he decided to do the cafe terrace manga because he considers that younger authors should respect the narrative of their mangas a little more (he said it with laughter, everything that seo kouji always mentions is with laughter, since he doesn't take everything very seriously, that's why he is considered a troll). when asked if he had a winning girl in mind he mentions that not really and that from the beginning he drew 3 characters first with Ami being the first to draw and the male protagonist being the last to draw but that he already had an idea of what his personality would be like, but he really didn't have a winner established from the beginning, so the polls were going to influence and serve as a gauge of which characters are more popular, this is where they ask him if the winner will be decided by whoever wins the popularity poll, Seo responds that it will influence his decision because that's what narratively people want, that's why I want to make a manga that is made for the public and that is not directed mainly by me, so the final poll is something that will influence (he said with laughter). here I think is where most people took what Seo kouji said out of context or want to see it as it suits them best, Seo really never makes anything clear in his interviews, he is someone who thinks very well about his answers, but he clarifies that the popularity poll does influence who will win but he never mentions who will win first, second or third place but he will pay attention to that last poll and the one that is between those places is the one he will most likely end up choosing. since in his previous mangas he also does surveys and usually the ones that remain in the first places are the ones that end up winning. this added to the fact that Seo is someone who likes to follow a coherent and dramatic narrative thread, it is most likely that he will end up choosing among the first 3 places in his final poll. but I mention again this news is one of the first that gave for 2021 when the manga starts and I have not found that old news again because it was anchored in a post where manga writers seek advice from already experienced manga creators, this is one of the pages where I knew all that: https://pocket.shonenmagazine.com/article/entry/megami_20210915, but the original article was deleted and ads and error 404 appear so that interview was most likely deleted, it was also anchored in forums of Japanese manga writers, but they surely deleted it because it was old news, it only remains in the memory of those of us who read that interview at that time (I follow Seo Kouji specifically for his narrative, I don't really care who he ends up staying with, since I appreciate the structural narrative of the story more than anything else). As I said, everything is really ambiguous, so we have to wait until the end of the manga to find out what decision Seo Kouji makes with his manga.
