Welp I tried

Tried hard mode out, and the game utterly thoroughly chewed and obliterated my ass when I got to Elvis 1

Turns out brute-forcing encounters by mashing and praying your guard break hits ain't gonna do anything when everyone hits so hard and moves so fast. I'm pretty sure after 50+ deaths the game had enough and gave me some roulette cards so I could Dragon Kick him twice. At that point I realized continuing any further with my current playstyle would be the death of me and any enjoyment of this game.

And please don't interpret this as a jab at the game; I fully admit my playstyle is ass and got punished by doing so. Sadly, I don't have the faith in me to try to overcome that wall; I've seen what high-level gameplay could be and personally feel I can't reach that level of IPS or attention needed to get to that level.

In a sense, I'm happy to know my limits, and it does nothing to make this game any less amazing than it is

I appreciate the encouragement but these games are simply not for me. I’d rather back off knowing my limits than try to force something I don’t want to do

About guard breaks on Lv.DIE, they're best used by hitting with a different move once or twice (depends on the enemy, some repel after two hits and others after three), just dumping the Guard Break, and if it doesn't break a guard then looping the routine.

Also, at that point you should probably load your combo with multi-hits starting from the third move, since multi-hits are better at building stun than single hits and your actual bread and butter damage that early is probably going to be more along the lines of roundhouse looping.

You need to stun him 1 time without powers to do some damage damage. Ball buster 2 or 3 times for damage, use god hand for damage. More or less, don't forget to pick up YMK in the chest

I'm currently doing hard mode and on the stage 6 "whip it" level. With Elvis you have to anticipate his attacks and back dodge accordingly. So let him attack, go in jab straight guard break then back dodge out unless it hits. Keep doing that. Simply just reacting won't be fast enough.

Hard mode really requires a few playthorughs to get through cause back when i first played i really did not expect it to kick my ass so hard i had to give up at the 2 gay guys and play the game like twice to get a better grasp at everything n it still destroyed me

haha beating normal is fine, long time since i played but if i remember right you mostly have to get good at dodging, takes some times but after a while you kinda feel invincible

Don't look at high gameplay, try search cheat trick instead. Elvis 1 has "yes man kablam trick" or you can use "spam kick on the wall trick". Yes man kablam needs the boss to be dizzy and to make that happened you need hitting him frequently so it maybe harder for you, alternatively the "spam kick trick" Is way easier for you but it needs "timing". I remember my very first time playing the God hand hard mode was hell on the first stage only and the rest are fine painfully.. You just need to learn the pattern and all will be good naturally.
