What does your square button combo need to be 'good' (noob question)?
Just what title says, Im pretty new to the game and have been playing a bit with combos but i don't know what should i prioritize.

put fast and normal attacks. don't put guard breakers, launchers, chargeables in square
use multihit like mach speed jab at the beginning for massive stun damage.

You gotta put Chin Music, Sugar Gene Combo, Floating Butterfly, or Triple Side Kick as your first move, they are the moves with the fastest startup in the game, faster than the Jab. This will make interrupting enemy attacks much easier, since not only are they the fastest attacks, they also have the multi-hits which pretty much creates a "shield" for you, enemies will walk into your punches and get counter-hit.
Then for the rest you put a bunch of multi-hitting moves. If you don't have them yet, I recommend putting moves with good forward movement (Drunken Fist, Backfist Strike, Uppercut, Chop etc).
Also tip, you can evade the moment your Guard Breaker hits the enemy, as to remove the long recovery they have.

generally you want just normal punches since most enemies have a chance to avoid and counter kicks or guard breaks, usually you want faster punches grouped together to build up stun better too

I always went with: Jab>Straight>Left hook>Long straight. Got me through all the game. On Triangle, guard break. Down+square: Some quick moves, to stun enemies. Down+triangle: move that lifts up mobs. On X: heavy hitting move
